"What are they doing?" the peacefulness gets shattered by a voice I did not want to hear. I chew on the rest of the food left in my mouth, and answer, coldly. "Playing."

"Playing?" she repeats in the kitchen. "What is she here for? Babysit Hyejoon or make new friends? We don't pay her to waste her time on useless stuff."

I do not say anything since I want to enjoy my meal, but she goes on, never keeping her opinion to herself. "Oh, and also. I'd like her to not wear skirts when she works here. Our boy is seventeen. This girl should wear appropriate clothes."

"Wearing a skirt is inappropriate now, that's new," the sarcasm passes through my words, her ridiculous statement irritating me. "Yes, it is. She's here to work, not to show off her fucking body."

"She wears whatever she wants," I do not agree with her at all, not standing the way she talks about this girl. "You wear a tight skirt to work when you have plenty of male colleagues, is it to show your body off as well?"

"A pencil skirt is different from those short skirts. Got it?" she raises her eyebrows at me, not appreciating whenever I retort. "I don't like to know that a fucking girl is walking around our house in that type of skirt and tight top that exposes her freaking boobs when our teenager is here and that you're here. Even though I know with no doubt that you both must like it."

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I throw her a glare and keep it steady with disgust. "We've been married for almost twenty years, but you still dare to think such a thing? That I hired her to just enjoy the sight of her body? How old are you? Fifteen? Grow up a little."

"Grow up?" she gapes. "Wow. You've been acting so fucking different lately, you're seriously becoming an asshole," her sentence takes me aback since she's the one at fault, and a nervous gasp runs out of my mouth. "An asshole? Who the fuck stays out every day to hang out with friends instead of being there for their family?" I do not restrain myself anymore but let the wrath control me. "Family? Who? The man who treats me like shit and acts like I'm not even here? Or my teenager who does not even respect me at all and does not even show any love to me anymore? Is that what you call a family?"

"So, you blame us?" I drop down what I have in my hand, not believing what I heard. "How do you want your kid to show that he loves you when you're not even here for him? And have you forgotten about your second child? For your information, we have a baby that you barely hold in your arms or raise like a mother should. So do not fucking dare to put the blame on the ones who love you but feel left out only because your colleagues and friends are way more important."

"Shut the fuck up," she stares at me, losing her mind and composure as much as I am. "Have you seen how you both are acting with her?! Why the fuck do you give her more attention?! How do you want me to not suspect anything or act so rude when you're being all kind with her but not me?!"

"That is called being respectful and kind towards a person that does the same in return, but you probably forgot what that means," I lower my voice to not blow a fuse but stay calm while she's going berserk and that this argument is going out of hand. "Oh, sure. That is exactly the reason why I feel better at my workplace," she takes her cup of coffee in her hand. "Seeing that girl in my house will only give me another good reason to spend time with them and not stay here, only because my motherfucking husband treats a teenage little bitch better than his wife—"

"When are you going to stop?!" Hajoon's voice catches me off guard. "I'm tired of hearing you! If you want to fight, do it somewhere else! Goddammit," he harshly hurls out of his mouth and goes back upstairs as he must have been done with our loudness. I do not even glance at my wife, I do not even give her one look. I sigh and cover my face with my hand, wondering what I have done wrong to end up in this situation.
