I put the bottle down and hurry to get out of here to see what is going on in the living room. "Do you know how much this shirt costs, you dumb bitch?! You fucking pick this up, right now!""I apologize again, Sir, but you just walked into me—" her voice gets cut off by a slap that the man dared to give her right after she went back up on her feet. I do not even think twice before nudging my way to them and pushing him away in a violent manner. "You get out of my house before I make you regret what you just did," I stare straight into his eyes and hold back from starting a fight, but he scoffs and walks away.
"My dog has better manners than this stupid girl," he opens the front door, but out of lack of control over my anger, I make fast to reach him and throw him out. I slam the door behind us and punch him in the face, harder than planned, feeling in my fist and wrist how serious it is. After he hit the ground, I look down at him with no regret or guilt, but he holds his face, probably in acute pain.
"I fucking warned you," I let him struggle on his own and get back into the house, not even caring about his condition. I head towards y/n but see that she is not here, only one of my colleagues is cleaning the mess on the floor.
"Just leave it there, Moonsik...The meeting is over," I raise my voice to let everyone in the room hear me, and they all get ready to leave. "Are you sure?" the one who is helping, and who I can always count on asks, and I nod. "Yeah...Thank you."
"Okay," he stands up. "Uhm, I told her to not touch anything and let me take care of it, so I think she just went into another room," he tells me as he must have understood I was worried for her, and I thank him for the second time. I impatiently wait for everyone to get out of my house, and once I said goodbye to the ones who made the effort to look at me with no disdain, I close the door and walk up to y/n's room.
I knock on the door first. "I'm coming in," my voice slips out in a weird tone, and I step inside. My eyes catch sight of her sitting on the bed, with a ball of tissues in one hand.
For no reason, she rises and goes down on her knees once I move towards her. "I apologize, Mister Jeo—"
"Don't," I interrupt her at the sound of her crying. "You do not have to apologize for anything, so do not even think about doing it or feeling bad about what just happened," I drop my attention on her hand but notice that the tissues are soaked with blood, so I grab her wrists and make her get up but realize there is some blood on her knees as well. "Let's get in the kitchen. Did he hurt you?" I lead her out of the room, and she answers with a 'no' that is given by her head.
My heart is beating so fast that the wrath running through my veins does not want to fade away.
I bite my lips but pull one stool back to make her sit down on it and I get hold of the medical stuff that I need to take care of her injuries. Hearing her sob and knowing that she feels guilty makes it hard to keep calm.
I should have punched him even harder.
I breathe out and stand right before her, I peek at her face but see that the red mark he left is still visible. I need to remain calm, seriously. I put the stuff down on the kitchen island and place my hand under hers to take the tissues away from her palm. "Why are you bleeding like that? What happened?" I throw them out, holding her hand in mine.
"He stepped in front of me when I was trying to avoid someone," she chokes up, wiping her tears away. "So I dropped the glass without wanting to...this was an accident...and I stained his shirt...but he forced me to get on the floor and pick up everything..."
