Character Idea

A character who has been artificially created using a magically charged crystal as the core for operating the magical machinery that makes up their body. For the most part, they look completely human. However, when they are damaged their insides look more like metal with glowing etchings. There are numerous mechanisms in place to make it appear like they are human. For example fake blood, extra padding, and extra skin in the form of colored bandages.

For most of their life, they were not told they were inorganic.  They lived out their life as a normal human who believed that they had simply hit their head and gotten amnesia. Taken in by the magic engineer who "found" them, they were taught how to live life and protect themselves in the way of the hammer, anvil, and pen. It was only supposed to be until they regained their memories, but they grew rather close.

Later on, when protecting their village during an attack, their arm was badly injured and revealed the complex mechanisms inside. Realizing what this meant, they knew they had no memories to regain in the first place and now felt extremely out of place within this town. Whether through childish instinct or adult reasoning, they left the town in order to pursue more knowledge in themselves and the new world around them.

- have a more linear way of talking and learning since most of their reactions were coded into them

- probably lawful neutral. They have a "moral code" but it was mostly put in as a fail-safeex) most sentient creatures are considered friendly until they exhibit "harsh behavior", they'll check to see if they're trustworthy. (probably just a random roll)

- don't know how to fight, but they're ridiculously sturdy (metal and all that)
