Sometimes I wonder if people hear the silence like I do 

Not the white noise you'll sometimes hear 

But just the world, existing 

The sounds that life creates that fill the silence 

Or the howl of the wind when you're on your own 

The world isn't truly silent 

So why do people try to escape it?
