Chapter Twenty Nine

I saw the viewers go up. Five thousand. Six thousand. Seven thousand. I saw some pretty important people were watching. All the people I had met in England and Scotland were watching. The Janoskians from Australia were watching which meant a lot to me. They were a group of three brothers and two friends who did stupid stuff and annoyed the public and put it on the internet. I was a big fan. They lived to make people laugh. And they were watching me give birth. Cody Simpson was watching. Justin Bieber was watching. Demi Lovato was watching. And they all tweeted the link for the twitcam to their followers so we got that many more viewers.

We hit ten thousand viewers in no time and as promised, I started pushing. I thought it hurt before. It hurt like hell. Literally the most pain I'd ever been in in my entire life.

"Okay, bear down." Dr. Harris told me.

I did what he said. Everyone else in the room counted to ten and I let out a big sigh.

"This is so painful." I said.

I looked at the laptop.

"Guys, wait to have kids." I scolded the viewers.

People laughed.

"Ready to go again?" Dr. Harris asked.

I nodded and pushed with all my might. They counted to ten again.

"I've got one shoulder out, one more big push and baby will be here!" Dr. Harris told me.

Suddenly, someone burst into the room. My vision was cloudy from the tears my body decided needed to be produced. I couldn't see who it was.

"Ayley!" The person ran to me. "Ayley, I'm here!"

I wiped my eyes and the foggy person in front of me became clear. It was Niall.

"Niall?" I said.

"I'm here!"

"Niall!" I yelled and wrapped my arms around him.

"Dad?" Dr. Harris asked Eleanor.

"Yes!" Eleanor started crying. "Yes, he's here! He came!"

I was bawling my eyes out.

"I don't mean to interrupt, but we're kind of in the middle of birthing a child." Dr. Harris informed us.

"Sorry." Niall said.

I looked my laptop and screamed with rejoice. As much pain as I was in, I couldn't wipe the gigantic smile off my face. I read what people were saying. They were freaking out that Niall was there and that the baby was so close to being delivered.

"Okay, one more push." Dr. Harris said.

I pushed half as hard as I'd been pushing and felt the baby come out. I heard it cry. I burst into tears. My baby was here.

"It's a girl!" Dr. Harris said.

I couldn't speak, I was crying so hard. Eleanor went to the laptop in tears and told everyone that the baby was a girl. She picked up the laptop and brought it over to where Dr. Harris was cleaning her off.

"You did it." Niall said to me as he kissed my forehead. "I am so proud of you."

"We did it." I cried.

He hugged me. He was crying too. Dr. Harris brought the baby over to me and laid her on my chest. She was so tiny. She was beautiful. She was the most precious, perfect thing I'd ever seen in my entire life.

"What's her name?" Dr. Harris asked me.

I looked at Niall.

"Caoilainn Synthia Horan-Gilbert." I said proudly.

I heard my mum make an inhuman noise in the corner.

"Yes mum, we named her after you." I said.

Eleanor pointed the laptop at her and she flailed her hand in the air and turned her face to the corner. She was a mess. She didn't want to be on camera.

I laughed. "Do you guys approve?" I asked the laptop.

Thousands of tweets came in, each and every one of them saying how proud of me they were. The baby was finally here. Caoilainn was here. She was breathing. She was in my arms. She was mine.

Niall went out to where the rest of our friends and family were waiting and more people filed into the room than I expected. Jess, Chelsea, Jordyn, Emma, Alex, Sam, and Candise came in along with Louis, Harry, Liam, Zayn, Danielle, Perrie, and Paul. Tyler was there. Matt was there. I burst into tears. My grandparents even came.

The room quickly filled with people who loved me. We all celebrated the new addition together. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. Caoilainn was passed around to everyone. Harry didn't want to let her go but Perrie managed to steal her from him.

I realized that all these people were there for me. That's the only reason they came. To support me. All those people in the room plus the tens of thousands of people watching the twitcam at home were there to watch me. I couldn't believe that many people loved me that much. That was a lot of people! I hadn't stopped crying for the past five hours. Tears of happiness.

You'd think that giving birth to a worldwide Irish boyband popstar's first child at the age of seventeen would be the craziest thing that would ever happen to me. Ha! I wish!
