Chapter Six

I woke up in the morning to Niall groaning and sitting up with his feet hung over the side of his bed and his head in his hands.

"What the hell happened last night?" He mumbled.

"You were drunk." My sleepy voice explained.

"What happened?"

"We partied all night at Funky Buddha and you drank more than any normal eighteen-year-old boy should be able to handle and we brought you back here and you fell asleep and now we're here." I said. "Good morning!"

"Ssh! You're yelling." He closed his eyes.

"Sorry."

He groaned.

"I'm gonna get you a coffee."

"What?"

I smiled.

"Why?"

"You're hungover and tired. Ergo, I'm getting you a coffee."

"I don't like coffee."

"You told me you did last night."

"I lied. Could you please stop being so loud?"

"Sorry." I whispered. "What do you want me to do?"

He stretched his arms out with his eyes shut and I placed myself between them and he gave me one of the best hugs he'd ever given. He was warm. He still smelled like every alcohol known to man but he was warm. Behind the alcohol scent, I could smell the faint odour he made when he slept. It was sort of musky but not at the same time. You know how everyone has their own sleep smell? Like that. But it smelled really good whereas most people smell bad when they sleep. I don't know why but I quite enjoyed Niall's sleep smell.

"When do you want to go down for breakfast?" I whispered.

"What?"

"When do you want to go for breakfast?" I repeated, a bit louder.

"I don't know. Now, I guess."

"Okay. Get dressed."

"Kay. I love you."

"Love you." I smiled and got up but Niall grabbed my wrist.

"Hey." He said.

I looked back at him.

"Thank you for getting me and everyone back safe."

I smiled.

"I love you." He smiled. "Happy birthday."

"Thanks, babe."

"You're welcome."

I bent over and kissed his soft pink lips.

"I can still taste the alcohol on you!"

He licked his lips.

"Yea, maybe I should have some coffee." He said.

I giggled.

"Wanna ask everyone if someone wants to make a Starbucks run?" He asked.

"Sure." I smiled. "Eleanor and I can go."

"Yea, or whatever, someone else can go."

"Why can't I go?" I pulled out my phone and texted Eleanor.

"Because I want you here with me."

I smiled, looking at my phone. "Eleanor and I are going. She just texted me and said she's meeting me here in five minutes."
