We were walking home silently on the sidewalk to our house because Kenma's house was just a few blocks away. The sun was shining brightly, and I could feel the rays of the sun warming up on my skin, as well as gentle wind blowing strands of my hair against my face. It is currently 5 p.m. and car horns could be heard as vehicles drove by.

"I heard school break is close, I'll be a second-year and you'll be third." I told him, breaking the awkward silence.

But in a different school.

"Yeah, I really don't know what am I gonna do at the house all day, probably just play some games." Kenma said, both of his hands on his pockets while an AirPod was still on his other ear. "How about you? What will you do during the break?"

"I probably won't be busy much, I might just paint or play games all day for sure." I answered.

Kenma nodded, he then gives me one of his other pair of AirPods.

"U-uh thank you." I took the AirPods in his hand as we kept walking.

There was another silence.

"I don't want to go home yet..." I muttered as I tugged his shirt.

Kenma looked back at me.

"Why?"

"I want to paint the sunset." I admitted though I may sound embarrassing in front of him right now.

"Want to stay here for a while and paint?" Kenma smiled which I didn't expect.

We were sitting on the sand at the seaside and no people were around.

I was painting on the ground while Kenma was on his phone, still, his AirPods were on my other ear.

I noticed that my painting was vapid, my paintings always depend on my mood.

"Why'd you ask me to stay with you by the way?" He asked while watching me paint.

"It just feels livelier when I'm painting with someone." I answered smiling but still looking at my canvas where I'm painting.

"I see. Can I try?"

I nodded, he takes one of the painting brushes and paints at the end of the paper, opposite in mine.

"Why are you just coloring my drawings?" I asked him, confused because he was just filling in and not really adding up things.

"You're painting is black and white, it's dull, I know when you're doing those kinds of paintings, I know you Y/n." Kenma said not taking his eyes off the painting and continued.

"Since when did you know that?!"

"You're easy to read Y/n."

"Well, uh, never mind." I rolled my eyes with a chuckle as I continued to paint with him.

"What I'm trying to do here is to make your dull painting livelier and colorful, just like what you did with mine." He said, his eyes never leaving the canvas.

My eyes widened as blush starts to show in my cheeks.

The sunset is mesmerizing, but one thing is certain, this is a golden scene, a scene that deserves to be treasured forever. Painting with someone I have feelings for, who made my painting livelier, just like the sun and the beach, which appears blue and breathtaking due to the sun's reflection, slowly receding into the waters below.

"Is that a compliment? Or?" I asked giggling.

"It's up to you." He answered with a shrug and chuckled.

A notification ring was heard on my phone, I checked my phone and it was a message from my mom.

"I got to go." I told Kenma as I start to pack my things.

"Oh, okay." He also told me while helping me.

"Hey! You can have my painting and make sure to finish it and show it to me next week and you can keep it." I gave him my painting with a big smile on my face.

"Sure, I'll finish it, Thank you."

I stood up and returned his AirPods then walked away after finishing my packing and saying my goodbyes, but then I felt a hand on my forearm, and I looked up to see Kenma, who pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly as if this is the last time seeing him.

"E-excuse me?" I said as he only stood there not letting go of me while attempting to hide my red cheeks.

"Tomorrow at 10 a.m., the same location. Good night." He then walks off and smiled at me
