Chapter 13

Third Person POV

"And he never gives a second chance."

You entered the room as the employees turned their heads to the entrance.

"Hi." You greeted them while trying to hide your nervousness with a smile.

"Are you the new employee?" A girl with blonde short hair asked.

"Yes, my name is Y/n L/n."

"I'm Saeko Tanaka! The Head Manager for HRD." She greeted you with a smile.

She motioned you to come to her cubicle to start the interview session.

As you approached her cubicle, you noticed that the lady from earlier was gone; you turned your head to peer through the glass door, but all you got was a cold breeze.

Huh? Weird.

You thought as your brows knitted in confusion, but you chose to ignore it and concentrate on the interview.

A few minutes of silence before Saeko spoke, you gave her your ID and documents.

"Y/n L/n, 23-- you're 23?!" Saeko surprisingly said as she observed you.

"Y-yeah?"

"And I don't even know why did Miss Saeko become our Manager. I deserve the promotion more." An employee just beside your cubicle mumbled.

"Shutup! As if I didn't help you with your reports last night or else Mr. Chairman would deport you to Singapore right away." Saeko retorted as she hits him with a paper.

The employee could only smile nervously and did a salute to their manager.

"Sorry for the interruption, shall we start, Ms. L/n?"

"I've been waiting." You smiled.

Saeko only smirked and began to ask me questions. "Interested with anybody?" Saeko asked you jokingly but didn't expect you to return it back.

"Maybe." You answered with a smirk.

You both chuckled and Saeko began asking more serious business-related questions.

The interview ended rather quickly and congratulated me.

"Also, you will receive an email form, it's a survey about the company including your interview session with me," Saeko told me as you stood up to make your way to the exit. "Research and Development Department, right?"

"Yes."

"Ryuu! Lead her the way." She called the employee beside her cubicle which was the one who complained about Saeko being their manager.

"This is Ryuu Tanaka, my brother!" Saeko told you as she hugged her brother and rubbed his head while Ryuu could only grunt and yell at her sister.

"Yeah, whatever." Ryuu then motioned me to come with him to the exit.

"So, I heard your name is Y/n L/n?" Tanaka asked while both of his hands are on his pockets while walking beside you.

"Yes, and you're Sir Tanaka?"

"Oh please, just call me Tanaka or Ryuu, pretty girls call me by only my name." Tanaka said as he winked at you.

"Sure, Thankyou I guess?"

"You look like those type of guys who is famous back then in high school." You chuckled.
