Third Person POV

Ah shit I'm so sleepy

You thought as the company was having a meeting again, like the usual thing, but you were seated in the opposite direction as Kenma for some business reasons. You felt like yawning, but you held yourself back since you were typing down some important notes.

To stop yourself from being sleepy, you looked around at the meeting room, but all you see were projectors and other unfamiliar faces of the employees from other companies.

Looking around again, you widened your eyes as you were met with Kenma's eyes.

That scared the shit out of me.

You thought as you removed your gaze from him, his eyes were scary as fuck like he's going to scold you later for being so sleepy and stubborn.

Ahh focus, Y/n! You thought as you slapped both of your cheeks, you then went back to typing, but you felt uneasy as if someone is watching you, so you looked up from your laptop and saw Kenma still looking at you with raised brows.

Looking at him confusingly, a notification message popped on your phone screen.

(Kenma):

What's up with your face?

You gasped as you glared furiously at him as he covered his mouth with his palm and leaned his elbow on the armchair, but it was obvious that he was laughing.

(You):

wym what's up with my face? u saying I'm ugly?

(Kenma):

I didn't said anything, you said that to yourself.

Looking back at him again, he was still looking at you as if he's waiting for your reaction, you just rolled your eyes at him and focus on your work.

"Mr. Kozume? Did you enjoy our presentation?"

One of the businessmen said, of course, you placed your hand on the keyboard to prepare typing on what Kenma's going to say.

"Hmm," Kenma tilted his head while his chin was resting on his palms, "No."

You looked at him with shock, you thought you were going to type something long.

"Well the question is specific though, your presentation didn't impress me, but your proposal letter did," Kenma said. "Will I still sign the contract?"

"Yes, please do Mr. Kozume." The man said, almost like begging, you understood why, because Bouncing Ball Corporation is a top-tier company and anyone would kill to even have a simple collaboration with the company.

Because any company would have tons of benefits when they are working with Kenma.

Handing the contract, Kenma signed the contract lazily.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Kozume!" Everyone on the other company said they bowed as a big smile formed on their faces.

Kenma only smiled slightly and nodded, leaving the room with you.

"Don't you think you were a bit harsh saying no?" You asked as you were walking in the hallway with Kenma.

"Nah, that presentation was shitty, but of course your presentation before was still on my number one's shittiest." He laughed as you looked at him with furrowed eyes, you hit him with rolled-up paper but he just dodged it.

"Plus, I like that company's attitude though, so I accepted it still."

"I hate you." You rolled your eyes at him as he just lazily turned your head to you with a smirk.

"Love you too." You gasped at his answer, two-faced bitch, you thought.

"Y/n."

"Yeah?"

"This might be so sudden but..."

"I heard from Hinata and the others, that you already knew about the accident?" Kenma said, you turned your head to him as you panicked, not knowing what to say.

"Don't worry, I'm not mad at you," Kenma said. "I just want to hear it from you rather than Hinata and the others."

"And, the caller?" He added.

And soon enough, you were now both in front of Kenma's office.

"Uh, I'll go in my office—"

"No, we'll talk about something in my office, okay?" He cut you off as he entered his office, you couldn't help but just sigh and follow him, but also relieved because you were now letting out that heavy feeling in your chest after days that you can't sleep because it was bothering you so much.

"So, tell me, is it true?" Kenma asked you as you were both sitting on the couches in his office.

"Yeah, it is," You nodded.

"If so, then why didn't you tell me?" Kenma said, looking at you, but you kept your head low and is avoiding his gaze, you didn't know why you felt so intimidated.

"I just felt so bothered and worried telling it to you, I thought you'll be mad."

"Why would I? Getting mad at you because someone is threatening my girl?" He said as you finally looked at him, startled by the word.

"I'm sorry, I just felt like it'll be a burden for you, plus the fact that... you were included on that night, I don't want to sound so nosey after all." You said.

"Mhm, is that what's holding you back from saying it to me?" He asked as stood up from his seat and went closer to you.

"Yes..." You mumbled a word, feeling a bit guilty.

"Do you want to loosen up a bit?" Kenma suddenly asked you as you faced him confusingly, he caressed your cheeks with his hands as he looked at you softly.

"Huh?"

"I'll take you out on a date this weekend."

His soft voice lightens up your mood a bit, you nodded as you hugged him, he knows how to cheer you up when times like this come, just a simple affection from him brings you happiness.

Suddenly, a knock on the door was heard. One of the employees entered and greeted both of you.

"Sir, some visitors wanted to see you."

Kenma looked at Y/n, you quickly checked the schedule, but you only saw that just the only thing that is written on the schedule for today is the meeting a while ago and no visitors are expected.

"Sir, there's nothing written here." You said to Kenma and the other employee.

"Well, they said that their arrival is a bit unexpected, sir."

"They? Who are they?" Kenma asked.

"Inarizaki."
