"Yeah, totally not expecting those questions to show up." Nora complained while fixing her things in her locker as she shut the door with much force which caused a loud bang echoing in the locker room.

The test ended hours ago, and we just went to put our belongings in our lockers just now because we wanted to eat in the cafeteria first. The teachers have allowed the students to remain at school for a short time while the test results are being released.

"Will you atleast chill as if you studied so don't expect shit." I groaned while closing my locker door also.

"Y/n." A familiar voice was heard behind us.

"Kenma! What are you doing here?" Kenma surprisingly showed up with Kuroo beside him. I was a bit confused on why he's here because this is usually not where the second years' locker were at.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" Asked Kenma, not gonna lie I began to get nervous.

"Yeah sure."

Kenma and I were alone at the end of the fourth-floor hallway.

The lights were dim and flickering, and it's almost dark because it's 4 p.m. People don't usually go to that place because the lights are being renovated over the weekend, which is tomorrow.

He inhaled deeply, knowing that if he said it, he would truly hurt you.

"I'll be moving to a new school." Kenma said with a sad tone but remained composed as he adjusted his posture.

"H-huh?" I stuttered, shocked by his statement.

"After exams, I won't be staying here at Nekoma next school year."

"Family problems came up, remember what I told you before?" Kenma added.

"Ah, I see," You responded, trying to hide the fact that it had hurt you. "We are still gonna see each other, right?"

Kenma didn't answer that.

"Can you tell me the issu- the secret, I don't understand." I inquired, desperately wanting to help him in some way because you were so confused by the entire issue that it was causing him to suffer almost every day.

"It's forbidden for someone outside our family to know. But I'll tell you one thing, I have a big responsibility to take in the future." Kenma said in a bitter tone.

"That is why I strive to ace all of my exams and achieve the highest possible grade." He added.

"I promised you already Y/n, I'll tell you when the right time comes."

I was speechless and felt stupid for myself because I had no idea what was going on. Despite knowing this at such a young age, I force myself to know.

As I approached him and hugged him, it felt as if my legs moved on their own.

Kenma paused for a moment as he was shocked first but then he soon returned the hug. A hug that meant nothing but comfort, comfort yet it seems like it was enough for him. Oh how he wishes time would stop or at least slow down.

Knowing he needed it in such years, he never receives any of those.

Before I can say something we heard a squeal and giggles coming from the corner behind the walls, both of our heads suddenly turned, our eyes widened and frozen in our place while we are still in the same position where we are hugging. Kuroo and Nora were at the corner of the wall crouching so they won't be seen, hiding behind the stacked bags.

"Kyanmaaa! You're all grown up boy!" Kuroo laughed like his usual hyena laugh.

"Go on, go on! Just continue, I'm still finding the perfect angle, these damn bags are on the way!" Nora said also laughing with Kuroo while holding a camera which obviously tells that she was taking photos.

Kenma whispered a curse, he then walks away while I'm still standing unable to move.

A light was flashed on my face as I took notice that Nora took a picture of me frozen on the wall.

"Oops, I forgot to turn the flash off." Nora laughed while running away from me knowing that she'll die any soon.

"Principal Velascho speaking, students, test results are out. Kindly pick up your examination papers, test scores, and ratings, at the Student Records and Exams Office. Thank you"

A voice coming from the school speaker was heard which made us four stop at our tracks and nervousness began to loom over at our body.

"I don't even wanna bother, ugh." Nora complained.

"I mean... there's no harm in checking? R-right?" I said with a nervous smile, my voice shaking, my body as well as I remember what my mom said in the morning a while ago.

or I'll have to force you to leave that art club.

"I didn't expect that there would still be students in the school at this time." Kenma said while an AirPods was on both of his ears and both of his hands were tucked in his pockets.

We were lining up outside the office where the results were.

"Guess they are all excited!" The three of us said to Kenma as he just sighed.

As it's our turn we asked the professor who gives out the papers, he handed the envelopes which consist of our test papers to us as I receive them with shaking hands. I opened the envelope and quickly looked at the score corner of the paper.

I passed.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I fell on the chair. I took notice that my friends also did the same, except Kenma.

I hurriedly ran up to him and asked him about his scores.

Kenma's head was hung low, then he looked up at me smiling. "Don't worry about mine Y/n, I haven't opened my envelope yet, I'll do it at home."

I paused as I notice something odd from him. "Okay, make sure to message me about your score!" I told him, but not really convinced with his answer.

"Yeah, I'll walk you home with Kuroo since you said Nora wouldn't come with you today right? Plus it's almost late." Kenma said as he stands up leaving the office.

"Oh right, I forgot about my sister's birthday, gotta go! Bye everyone!" Nora said hurriedly as she quickly grabs her things and went out to the office.

"Umm I think I wouldn't be able to come with you guys later, I got to walk my fish! Bye!" Kuroo said as he sprints to the door.

"That damn rooster." Kenma cursed.

"When did fish started walking?"

Kenma walked off but I noticed that his string to the envelope was unattached and loose.

Did he already open it?
