Third Person POV

"Yes, I already printed out the Marketing Reports for this month." Kageyama said as he handed you the folder.

"Can you please give this to secretary Himari?"

"Yeah, sure." You grabbed the folder from Kageyama as you make your way into the secretary's office.

Two months have passed as an employee at the same company, the same cycle repeats itself almost every day; running the company, making presentations, preparing business plans, and so on.

But never in those days, you had a conversation with Kenma like you used to have when you were both in high school.

Yes, you both did on occasion, but only for a short time; the longest talk you had with him was only half a minute, and it was only about business, never about personal matters.

The last time you spoke with him properly was at the nightclub and at his mansion back then. You hate to admit it, but you miss that day.

"Secretary?" You knocked at the office as she opens the glass door, she smiled and greeted you.

"Hi, here is the Marketing Report for this month, each page has primary sections." You handed her the folder, you shifted your legs to walk away, but she called you.

"Ms. Y/n, can I talk to you for a minute?" Secretary Himari asked as you both went inside the office.

Himari made you sit into the chair in front of the desk, she offered you a cup of coffee and began the discussion.

"I'm sorry for the sudden interruption, but please help me with my resignation."

You almost spilled the coffee as you heard her request.

"Huh?!" Your mouth was agape as you heard her sudden request.

"Please be the next secretary for Mr. Kozume, replace my position." Himari begged as she kneeled in front of you and held your hands.

"H-huh? Wait, why so sudden? A-and why me?" You started to panic as well because this big responsibility was being handed to you.

You were so taken aback by her sudden request that you assumed it would be minor.

"It's a personal matter, I need to go back to my country for my grandmother." She sobbed while clutching a letter to her chest.

You held and patted her back as you gave her a bottle of water.

"Come to my office again tomorrow if you're free, I'll discuss everything with you. I know this is so sudden, It's an emergency." Himari said as she stood up and drank her water as she calmed herself down.

"A-alright." You stuttered, still confused. You made your way of her office, but it felt as though a weight had been lifted off your shoulders.

You never imagined yourself as a secretary during your days as an employee, especially for Kenma Kozume.

You fiddled with your fingers as you walked through the corridors, puzzled as to how the chairman's secretary could say something so casually and suddenly as if it were a minor decision. You became more perplexed when you knitted your brows in an attempt to comprehend.

You didn't understand why she had quit her job and handed it over to you. Besides which, she almost worked for the chairman for eight years, while you just worked for months.

Almost no one would believe that the secretary would just retire from her position.

"What took you so long?" Kageyama asked as he's typing on the computer.

"Long story." You briefly said as you also continued your work.

"What long story?"

"Long story short, Secretary Himari is resigning and made me the next secretary." You blurted out nonchalantly without knowing you said it a bit loud for others to hear.

"What?!" Sounds of gasps and "what" were heard, and they started to approach you by the big news.

You sighed as you rolled your rolling chair to face them. "Secretary Himari is resigning, and she gave me her position so suddenly. Trust me, I reacted the same way as you guys did just now."

"W-wait wait, Secretary Himari is resigning as the secretary which she has for almost a decade and you—will replace her?!" Yachi said with widened eyes.

"Yes, she said it's a personal matter about her grandma, I didn't ask more questions after that. And she just said it as if it's nothing!"

"Maybe something happened between Kenma and Secretary Himari...you know...?" Hinata whispered but everyone in the room heard as Kageyama smacked Hinata on the head for thinking such things.

Your cheeks blushed as you grew embarrassed and glared at Hinata. "Pshh! Whatever my head is hurting just by thinking about it." You said as you shoo them away and went back to work.

"I got to tell everyone, this will spread like a wildfire for sure." They said as they rushed to get their phone in order to announce the news.

Someone's POV

My hair flew out of my hoodie as I dashed outside, but luckily I was fast enough to cover it before anyone noticed.

Taking a step forward, I heard the rustling of leaves and just the whistling of the wind; the moon was full. Moon shining through the dark tall drees. I was in the woods because it was the only way to get to my destination, and I had no choice but to run and face my fear.

"Shit." I cursed under my breath as I stepped on a branch tree which caused my foot to bleed due to my footwear being thin and running and stepping on the ground with sharp woods and leaves.

Hell I care, I continued to run and run. As I approached a tall wooden double door, an evil smirk appeared on my face, signaling that I had arrived at my destination.

A ring from my phone was heard as I immediately grabbed it from my pocket.

"Hello?"

"What took you so long?" The person in the call said in a hoarse voice.

"Some snake decided to fuck with me." I felt the urge to roll my eyes.

"V—"

"No, not him, a literal fucking snake." I snarled.

"Mhm. So, how's it going?"

"I've been waiting for that." A deep chuckle erupted from me.

"It's a success, boss. It's easier than I thought." I answered as the tall double door opened on cue.

"Now that's what I like to hear."

Just in time, a tall man in a suit appears at the door. With a devilish grin plastered on his face, he held a phone up to his ear.

"Welcome to Inarizaki."
