The light from the window ahead of me was bright when I opened my eyes, and I couldn't help but groan softly as I tightened my eyes, rolling over.

However, I wondered where the light came from, and why the place I was enduring my slumber in was so thin and uncomfortable.

"Come on y/n get up now"

I furrowed my brows.

Was I dreaming?

Chishiya's voice graced my ears as I slowly pulled myself awake, sitting up on the sofa I discovered myself on. I looked around curiously at the area around me, and within a second of seeing the solitaire card on the table ahead of me I was reminded of the twisted game Chishiya and I endured yesterday, unfortunately I remembered it all and the worst part was that it was in fact a reality, not a dream.

That reminder was enough to wake me up immediately - That usually didn't happen, it always took me a while to advert my attention away from the sweet slumber I had once had.

"We're still here?" I asked aloud, and I heard a chuckle approaching me.

"Yeah, it wasn't a dream" Chishiya spoke, and he made his way towards me, throwing something into my lap covered by a blanket and I glanced down at the blanket with curiosity. "I found the blanket" stated Chishiya loudly, "I put it over you when I woke up, incase you were cold"

I glanced at the food he had placed over my lap, and smiled softly at the food, I was satisfied with this breakfast in bed.

I wanted to complain about the light though, and I found myself opening my mouth to describe just how annoying the bright sunlight was that had awoken me.

"Before you go and complain about the sunlight I stood over you for ages blocking the light the best I could, I thought you might wake up but I didn't realise just how much sleep you need" He scoffed, sitting at the end of the seat I was placed on, "Don't you get any sleep y/n?"

I was a little taken back with Chishiya words, I couldn't decipher just what shocked me more, maybe it was the fact that he knew just what I was going to say, or the fact that he displayed affection to me, or maybe it was the fact that he almost seemed concerned.

It was out of character for Chishiya.

"No... I'm always staying up late" I stated as I ate into the food he had give me, "Chishiya have you been up long?"

He shook his head, "Don't worry about me, it hasnt been too long anyways since I've been up" he paused, raising his eyebrows at me, "You should probably get yourself cleaned up"

It was only then I noticed that Chishiya's hair was a little wet, he had tied some of his long hair back into a messy bun and it was obvious he didn't exactly know just how to use a hair band which was amusing.

He was wearing a different outfit too, it was a little baggy on him but strangely it was still his style - A simple outfit that helped protect him in the cold weather.

"Sure" I muttered, pulling myself out from the makeshift bed, "Do you have any plans for what we should do? You know... in this place"

"Let's find somewhere we can stay, try to team up"

"Team up?" I asked aloud, and I tilted my head, "What about-" I stopped myself before I spoke to much.

"Continue" he ushered me after my abrupt stop, I saw myself in his eyes for a moment - Red faced, awkwardly staring at him with eyes widened momentarily, lips ajar before slamming them closed.

I probably looked insane.

"It's alright" I managed after a moment of silence. I wanted to ask him about

"Us" Chishiya finished for me. I nodded. "We'll be a team in this world... We have to be. I mean, we have been since we were children"

I scoffed, stretching out my body as I pinned my eyes on him, his wet hair, his pretty face, "That's a lie"

"I didn't win all those games just for myself in the past" the boy grunted as he jumped to take the rubbish from my hand, and he stepped away from me, walking backwards with a playful smile on his face, "It was nice to see you celebrate for me"

Once again, that feeling started in my stomach, the feeling of a million butterflies erupting in my stomach - I pushed it aside. I suppose it was simply because I was so surprised with his words. "Sure" I smiled playfully, not believing his words despite the feeling that arose in my stomach.

"Y/n I got you a change of clothes downstairs, wash in the fountain it's the only thing we've got" Chishiya revealed.

"I'll just be washing in your dirt" I groaned, and he laughed.

"Better than nothing"

I nodded, it was true, I needed to wash the remainders of yesterday from my body immediately, I wanted to forget about the tough time we had to endeavour. So, with a simple goodbye I left Chisiya doing whatever he was up to and trudged down the many stairs to the grand water fountain in the middle of the mall.

I also noticed the change of clothes folded neatly on a table, there was towels and shampoo all ready for me. His actions made me smile softly, it was strange just how thoughtful he was being after he was so cold to me for so many years.

I wanted Chishiya to survive, and I wondered if he wanted the same for me as he was so known for using others for his own success.

I wondered if that's what Chishiya wanted me for, to use me as a sacrifice on any game that he would need to.

I didn't want to think like that but I couldn't help it... It was such a common thing for him to do.
