PAST
Louis is in his X-Factor judge's house with Harry, they are lying in bed together. All of a sudden, his phone rings, it's his sister Lottie. He answers the phone, and his sister tells him their mum has passed away. Louis's eyes open wide as he stays silent. He hangs up the phone and Harry looks at him.
"Lou, what's a matter?" Harry asks.
"My mum, she died. I should've gone and seen her, I should've been there for her," Louis says beginning to break.
"Lou, I'm so sorry."
Harry takes Louis's hand and kisses it; he keeps ahold of Louis's hand.
"I can't believe she's gone, I never got to make her proud," Louis says in tears.
"Lou, don't say that you made your mum so proud, and you're gonna continue making her proud."
"I don't know if I will Harry, look at me I'm a mess."
"Louis William Tomlinson don't say that your mother loved you so much and was always so proud of you. She was your biggest fan, trust me she's proud of you Lou."
"Why'd she have to die, Harry? Why? I wish I could just hug her one more time and tell her I love her. Oh, Harry, my mum is dead, she's fucking dead! I want my mum back, my sisters Harry, they need a mum and now they don't have one. Oh, my poor sisters, I can't imagine how they are feeling."
Louis begins to scream; he falls into Harry's arms and continues screaming. Harry holds him, rocking him like a baby. He begins rubbing Louis's back as he cries. He needs to be there for Louis, he needs to comfort him and make him feel safe. Louis lost his mother and Harry needed to be his safe place. Harry keeps holding Louis, rubbing his back, the cries slowly become quieter. The cries stop, Harry looks at Louis, he is asleep in Harry's arms. Harry continues rocking Harry trying not to wake him up.
"Sleep well my darling, tomorrow will be a better day, you have no idea how proud your mum is of you," Harry whispers kissing Louis's forehead.
