PRESENT

Harry sits contemplating whether or not to pull the plug on his husband, he closes his eyes and tries to think about what Louis would want him to do. His mind shifts to an image of him and Louis old, sitting in their living room in front of their grandchildren.

"Grandpas tell us your love story," one of the kids says.

"Ya grandpas tell us, I want to know what it feels like to be madly in love," another kid says.

"Ya tell us, but keep out the gruesome details, some of us are too young for that," the oldest granddaughter says.

"Okay, okay, the story of me and your grandfather's love, is a love of passion and triumph. One day I was running late to my X-Factor audition, and I had to go to the bathroom. While I was in the bathroom some curly-haired boy, your grandfather stood next to me. I was all nervous around him because he was all cute, I mustered out the word hi and your grandfather accidentally peed on my foot and said oops at that moment I fell in love. I didn't have time to speak so I left, not too long after we got in a band together. We both really liked each other until one day we discussed it and we decided to start dating. We loved each other, we were innocent, and the world was cruel. Being openly gay like me and your grandfather are, was difficult then. We were in a boyband, most of our fans were girls who wanted to date us, so we had to hide who we truly were. I had to sign a contract to protect your grandfather, causing me to have to completely change. All the years of us hiding our secret love affair caused a rift in our relationship, we decided to break up for a bit, but eventually came back home to each other. The constant lying and hiding broke me, I was going crazy. I ended up in the hospital cause I had enough. I almost died but your grandfather never gave up on us. He kept fighting and believing I would say something, and I did. If he would have given up on me, I wouldn't be here today."

Harry snaps back into reality as the tears trickle down his face. He can't give up on Louis, if he gives up on Louis, this will never be their future. Louis needs him to be strong and not give up on him.

"I can't give up on Louis, not yet, not until we are free," Harry says to himself.

Then it hits Harry, but what if pulling the plug is not giving up on him, what if that's what saves him. Harry has no idea what to do, he's lost and needs Louis to guide him towards the right answer.
