Chapter 27

Past

TW: Suicide attempt and overdose

Liam is working on a new song in his studio, his phone vibrates on the table next to him, he grabs his phone and looks at it.

"I got a message from Tommo, I wonder what's up," Liam says to himself.

Liam reads the message Louis sent him, as he reads it, he becomes fearful. He cries and begins to dial Harry's number.

Louis opens the container of pills, takes the cup that sits on the sink, and fills it up with water. Louis puts the water in his mouth, dumps the whole container of pills into his mouth, and swallows. He stands there looking at himself in the mirror crying, he falls onto the ground screaming and crying. Clifford's outside the door barking and jumping at the door, trying to get to Louis. Dogs are smart they always know when something isn't right, and Clifford knows there is something wrong. Clifford continues barking as Louis sits screaming out all of his frustrations.

"Fuck! FUCK! Mom, I'm coming to see you and Fizzy, we get to be together again. I'm going to die; I'm fucking going to die. Shut the fuck up Clifford! Let me die in peace! Clifford, you be a good boy for Harry, okay, you be a good boy. I'm free, I finally get to be free."

Louis stays on the floor, crying and screaming, Clifford keeps barking.

"Hello, Harry?" Liam says on the phone.

"What's a matter, Liam? You sound like somethings bothering you," Harry says on the other line

"Are you home mate, please tell me your home."

"No, I'm on the set of my new movie, why?"

"Harry, Louis sent me a message, I'm scared, Harry. I'm scared Louis is going to attempt to kill himself."

"What?"

"He said, he can't wait any longer to be free and he's gonna go be with his mom. Harry, you need to go home and check on him."

"Wait what, no. NO!"

"I'm getting in my car right now to go to your house, as soon as I get off the phone with you, I'm calling 999."

"I'm gonna leave set and come right home."

Harry hangs up on Liam, leaving Liam concerned.

"Hello! Hello? Harry you still there? Great I think he hung up on me."

Liam sits in his car and dials 999, the phone rings for a while until finally, someone answers.

"Hello this is Patty speaking, what's your emergency."

Harry is in his trailer; he throws off his costume and gets dressed. He quickly grabs his phone and exits the trailer, running towards his car in tears. The director stops him from leaving.

"Where are you going, Harry? We're not yet done with filming today," the director says.

"I just have to leave."

Harry runs to his car and gets in; he sits there crying. He decides to try to call Louis, and the phone goes straight to voicemail. He drives off as fast as he can. When he gets home, he slams the car door forgetting to lock it and runs towards the front door. He quickly unlocks the door and runs into the house, forgetting to shut the door. Clifford walks up to him barking and freaking out.

"Louis! Louis! Louis! Clifford where is he? Where's Louis?"

Harry follows Clifford up a set of stairs and Clifford stops at the bathroom door, sits, and whines. Harry flings open the door, Louis is passed out on the ground.

"Louis! Louis! Say something, Louis." Harry screams out.

Harry stands over Louis and starts to check for a pulse when Liam runs into the bathroom. Harry notices Liam standing at the door. Harry goes to check Louis's pulse.

"He doesn't have a pulse he fucking doesn't have a pulse!" Harry cries

Liam runs in and starts doing chest compressions on Louis, Harry sits next to Louis's body, crying.

"God, why Louis? Why did you have to it, Louis? I fucking love you, Louis! Why!"

The ambulance arrives and five EMTs come into the bathroom, an EMT checks Louis's pulse.

"He has a heartbeat. It's very unstable but it's there." The EMT says

The EMT looks at Liam.

"Your CPR might just save him. We need to take him to the hospital and quick!"

The EMTs get the gurney and lay Louis on it, they put Louis in the ambulance. Harry decides he is going to ride to the hospital in the ambulance with Louis. He gets in the back of the ambulance and holds Louis's hand.

"I'll meet you at the hospital," Liam says as they shut the back of the ambulance.

The ambulance drives off as Harry hold's Louis's hand.
