"Auntie Farah?"

A whispered question came from the door of the headmistress' office. Looking up, she saw that it was her niece standing nervously in the doorframe, shifting her weight from side to side, and playing with her hands, not looking up from her feet.

"Terra."

A note of concern crept into the elder womans voice as she stood up from her desk.

"It's late, what's wrong dear?"

"Uncle Saul. Will he... will he be ok?"

Of course, she should have known. She shouldn't have left her niece alone after she had witnessed that.

"I won't lie to you Terra, you're to grown up for me to insult you that way. He's in bad shape and the infection is spreading fast."

Tears shone in the teenagers eyes at the thought of her favourite and only uncle in such pain. A hand wiped away one of the tears as it fell down her cheek before it lifted her head gently, and she found herself looking into her Aunt's eyes.

"But you gave him the best possible chance he could get. Thanks to you he has something so extremely precious."

"What?"

"Time."

A soft smile appeared on the earth fairies face and she hugged the slim body of her Aunt, wrapping her arms tightly around her waist.

"Thank you Auntie Farah."

The mind fairy smiled and stroked the girls hair softly.

"How about I walk you back to your suite?"

The younger fairy's body tensed once again as she pulled away from her aunt.

"Ok."

Feeling the waves of anxiety and rejection come rolling of her niece, the mind fairy placed a gentle hand on the girls shoulder.

"Or, we could go to my private apartments, drink some hot chocolate, and watch a movie. Maybe it will help take your mind of things."

A smile spread over the earth fairy's face and she nodded.

The next morning, the earth fairy woke curled up next to her aunt, the mind fairy's arms encircling her body. She smiled as she watched her aunts chest rise and fall with each breath the woman took. It felt nice to have had a sleepover with one of her favourite people, it had been too long since she had felt so close to her aunt Farah. Lifting her hand she gently moved a strand of blonde hair from the elder fairies face, relishing the fact that her headmistress side was well and truly gone in this moment. The mind fairies eyes flickered and opened, and Terra found herself staring into the deep hazel of her aunts eyes.

"Good morning Terra."

"Morning Auntie Farah."
