Prompt- Luna/Farah: Luna comforting Farah after a rough day of training, bathing her in the tub, braiding her hair, and giving her all the relaxing comfort in the world
"Dowling, what on earth happened to you, you look awful!?"
The mind fairy sighed as her suitemate rushed towards her. Of all misfortunes why had she ended up with the suite that only had two students, and why did the one other student have to be the princess and future queen of Solaria? She didn't have the energy to deal with 'her royal majesty'.
"Training."
She threw her stuff beside her bed, she would clean it later.
"Well you look a mess."
Sighing, she rolled her eyes.
"Aren't you amazing at making a girl feel special."
"I wasn't trying to, not when you look like you've been dragged through many hedges... backwards."
"Well maybe I have."
"You don't need to act so hostile."
"Princess, I've just had an exhausting training session and I can't be bothered to deal with you. Would you just shut your trap?"
She left the room and walked into their shared bathroom, leaving the stunned royal behind. The fall out would be annoying later but she could add that mess to the long list.
She let the water run over her and stretched out her aching muscles. She was exhausted. The fresh cuts on her back stung as the warm water ran over them, the blood turning the water a light pink. Leaning her head back she let the remaining shampoo run out of her hair before turning the shower of. She stepped out of the shower gently drying herself, putting on a crop top and a pair of shorts. Usually she would make sure to cover herself up more, her roommate would only make fun of the scars on her skin but she had grabbed the first thing she had seen and was too tired now to care.
Walking back through to the main room, she finished drying her hair and headed towards side of the room.
"Dowling, what on earth!?"
"How many times do you say that in a day princess?"
"Your back!"
"What about it?"
"Farah it's..."
The mind fairy heard a squeak from the princess' bed and the unmistakable sound of her ridiculous heels tapping against the floor. Gentle fingers ended up touching her back and she spun round to face the Solarian.
"What are you...?"
She stopped as a flood of emotions came towards her. She was shocked to feel genuine worry coming from the brunette.
"Dowling you've been hurt."
"I've been training."
"Come here."
"Excuse me?"
Any further protests were cut of by the princess grabbing her hand and taking her across the room.
"Sit."
"I'm not a dog."
"Just sit down Farah."
She sat, realising that the this was the second time in less than five minutes that the girl had called her by her first name. The royal rummaged in the bedside drawers before sitting behind the mind fairy. The brunette placed a hand against her back.
"Please, may I?"
Somehow the blonde found herself nodding and she found a cream being place over her gashes.
"There's a physician at the palace, he's lovely and he made me this just incase I cut myself on something, I shouldn't be but I can be such a clutz sometimes."
She hummed noncommittedly as the princess placed the jar on top of the drawers, picking up a hairbrush instead, she began gently combing through it.
"Your hair is lovely, it's so long. Most girls who train with the specialists keep theirs short."
"My one rebellion."
"Sorry?"
Her eyes widened as she realised she had spoken aloud before she sighed and explained.
"There are so many rules, everything is so restricted. This is a small way to get back at the world."
"Oh."
The blonde felt her hair being pulled back slightly as the Solarian braided it.
"There, it's done."
"Thank you."
She stood up but was gently pulled down again.
"Are you all trained this way?"
"Most of us in the higher groups are."
"And the lower?"
"Not so much."
She placed a hand on the brunettes arm.
"It happens to every student here, we can't all be royal."
She smiled softly, no sarcasm in her remark. She took her hand off the Solarian's arm and stood up.
"I need sleep, and judging by the time, so do you."
When the next morning came around it seemed as though everything was back to normal, the princess was back to ignoring her and she was ignoring the princess, but when she was leaving the suite for an early training session she heard her name being called. She looked back, the door half open and one hand still on the handle.
"What is it princess."
The royal swallowed thickly and her eyes flickered away from the blondes face for a brief moment.
"Please do be careful, I don't want you coming back with worse injuries. There's no need to ruin a perfectly good carpet just because you've bled all over it."
Raising an eyebrow, the mind fairy nodded.
"I'll try my best."
"It's all I can hope for I guess."
