Prompt- Silrah: Saul, Ben, and the Winx Girls dig Farah out of her grave post S1
He could have cried when Musa nodded her head.
He could have cried when his friend and his niece started to use their powers.
He could have cried when he saw her face for the first time in months.
He could have cried when she was carried back to the greenhouse.
He could have cried when the fairies around him brought her back to life.
He could have cried when he felt their bond re-instating itself.
He could have cried when he saw the warm, rich hazel of hers eyes appear.
He could have cried as the students were sent back to their suites to allow her, her privacy.
He should have cried when her head turned towards him. When her eyes met his and she smiled.
But he couldn't. He stood there, feeling more helpless than he had in a long time. He watched as everyone did everything and he could barely keep track of himself. She was alive. Rosalind was gone and Farah was alive.
He could feel the glance his friend had given him before leaving. The healer had always been astute and knew that the pair would only want each other. The earth fairy left with only a few notes on her health and a warning to be gentle when moving her to her rooms.
He stood there as she watched him, still lying on the makeshift table-like thing. Her gaze was calm as another small smile spread around her lips. She was covered in dirt, soil, vines, and leaves, but yet he had never been happier to see her or found her any more beautiful than she was in this moment.
And still he stood there. Staring at her, watching, as she reached her hand towards him.
It was only when her smile vanished and she frowned, panic entering her calm gaze as she reached further for him that he wanted to move.
"Saul."
She could barely talk, her voice was hoarse and it sounded as though it pained her to form just that one word.
It was when tears filled her eyes that he cried and finally moved towards her, taking her own hand in his. He kissed it softly before leaning his head against it, his tears still rolling down his cheeks.
"I'm here. I promise."

He took his hand out of her grasp and moved it behind her back.
"Come on let's get you cleaned up love."
She nodded and held onto him as he helped her sit up gently, placing his other arm by her knees, and picking her up bridal style.

She was light in his arms, unnaturally light, almost paper light. It worried him as he opened the door to her rooms, he would make sure she ate enough later. He brought her into the bathroom and sat her on the toilets lid as he turned on the shower. When the water was running he helped her take of her soil clad clothes, making sure not to get to much of the dirt on the floor, she hated mess. He helped her into the shower and she stood there, hugging herself as he undressed.
He stood in the shower with her, letting the water run down her body, washing the dirt away before he moved his hands towards her hair. Gently, he ran his hands through it, finding each and every hairpin she still had left and leaned out of the shower to chuck them into the sink. He reached for her shampoo, working it gently into her hair, trying to wash out all of the mud, leaves, and sticks. He used her conditioner after that, using his fingers to remove the knots that were left in the blonde tresses.
She turned to face him and lifted her hand to his face. She ran her fingers down his cheek and along his chin, smiling as she did so. Tears filled her gaze once again as her hazel eyes met his grey. They both knew how close they had been to losing each other. The specialist pressed a kiss to her forehead and wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight as the water poured over them.
"I have you, I'm not leaving, not again. I promise."

She lay wrapped in his arms, wearing an old pair of sweatpants and a jumper that belonged to him. She held one of his hands and traced the lines across his palm as he combed gently through her hair, braiding it the way she had taught him to do Terra's hair. She sighed softly as he pressed a kiss to her neck and curled up against him.
She looked up at him and smiled.
"I love you."
Her voice was quiet and it cracked at the end but the sound of it filled him with warmth. Her voice. The voice he had been sure he would never hear again.
"I love you too."
