3. The Past 5 Years & Today

I remember it was three days after we got the news. The conversation my parents had with the doctors I mean. It went kinda like this...
Dr.Shepard(McDreamy)- Isadelade (ew he used my name) needs these surgeries, and she needs them now, today.
Mom- And if she doesn't?
Dr. McDreamy- She does within 48 hours
*cue mom tears here*
This guy is really blunt, huh
Dad- Okay
*cue big, awkward a gulp from dad*
She will have the surgeries
*McDreamy nods*
Dad again- How long will this take?
Dr. McDreamy- Well considering the extremities of Isadelade's conditions with all three types of Mesothelioma, between 17 to 20 hours.
Dad- oh, oh god, okay, okay, oh um let's go tell her.
Mom- oh my, my baby, my poor baby, why my baby, why?
*dad calms mom then the three come into the room*
Just as dad was about to speak I said "I heard it all, just take me when your ready, thanks," my parents just kind of stood their wide eyes at my calmness and McDreamy nodded and left.

Two hours later and I was headed to the O.R. I looked up at Dr. McDreamy and Dr. Grey, "hey, if I die tell my parents that it was peaceful, no matter what and that everything will be okay. Also tell them that they need to do the woodo and make another baby. And to take the money out of my bank account and give it to that baby. And then they can have my other money, but they gatta find it, it's hidden, tell them that their hint is: 'good luck'," I smiled, "thanks," that was my 10 year old self. And they both gave me weird looks.

But clearly I didn't die, so all that wasn't needed. And I said the same exact thing for the next 17 surgeries I had through out the five years. I also started Chemo two weeks after my first surgery. I lost all my hair and up to this day I continue to do Chemo and keep my baldness. During those five years I lost everything. I gave up all sports except for horseback. I lost every friend. Had to leave school, and the nanny had to start to homeschool me. So basically, I have home, the hospital, people at the hospital, the people and animals at home and horseback.
