We were settled in the same room like yesterday, the Doctor's office had a great view which I failed to notice on her last visit. The clinic was well decorated. We were waiting for the Doctor's arrival; she was stuck up in some work.

"Kayla?" Kate drew her attention towards her "Please be calm ok? It will be good"

She just nodded. She wanted the same. She somehow wanted the Doctor to declare the results to be normal.

We heard the door click open and in came Dr. Grace Trevelyan as gorgeous as ever.

She smiled at us warmly and walked towards her desk, taking her seat.

"Hello Kayla, Hi Ms. Moore"

"Kate please" Kate corrected

She smiled at her, and immediately opened her drawer and took out an envelope. It was her report. Kayla felt her heart hammering against her ribcage. She just prayed it to be all normal and that I was sane.

She took out the paper from the envelope, read it for good two minutes and smiled at me broadly.

"Grace, is everything alright?" I asked meekly

"Kayla, the reports are absolutely normal. All the tests that I took yesterday were taken to check your regular working pattern of your brain. And this report declares all your vitals are normal. You don't have any internal damage or any sort of disorder."

That brought a huge smile on their faces. But she wasn't truly happy about the situation. Her mind got stuck into the next obvious question.

Why was I having those weird visions? And the insane stunt that I pulled in the middle of night....what was that?

Again she felt the Doc, could read her mind and answered to the unspoken question

"Kayla, I would say that you are absolutely fine. However, the visions, their escalation, and the intensity you share with them and whatever you see in those dreams are not entirely a fiction; rather, I would say it's a story in itself." She paused and looked at her.

What does that mean?

Kayla gave a puzzled look that made Grace to sigh and continue.

"Kayla, as of now, one thing is very clear, you are mentally quite strong."

"Doc, I'm sure, you heard me that I pulled a stunt in the middle of night.... a night before yesterday" she said, her patience, giving away.

"I still stand by what I said. You are sane – or mentally stable I would say in medical terms. However, the visions, which you are so concerned of, may be a result of something more significant. By what you said, and described so far in your last session, I believe there is a strong connection to what you are now and what you see in your dreams. It's a very subtle connection and to find a cure for that, we need to understand it more"

"What is the way out Doctor?" she asked helplessly, she wanted a relief, a permanent cure and sitting here was confusing her.

"By what you have shared with me, I believe, this has somewhere got a connection with you, in the past" she shushed me, as I opened her mouth to speak "Kayla, the delusions which you see are of a period. A definite period. The woman, the background setup, the fashion, lifestyle etc. I have a few considerations for you."

"What is it?"

"I want another session with you – a session which will be an answer to many of our questions. I won't lie to you, by saying that the session is going to be easy for you; however, this session is the only resort to find all the answers to your quest." she said, boring into her eyes

Kayla was sitting with Kate, at the local café, yes; we didn't go to the office directly or at the Millers. She asked Andrea to cancel all her appointments for the day. She was looking at the busy street of New York which was visible from the glass window across our table.

She was still trying to understand what Dr. Grace Trevelyan had discussed with them. She didn't know how to react. She knew Kate was equally nervous about the Doctor's suggestion. This was something very serious. She could feel her friend's gaze burning at her face, she took it as her cue that she couldn't prolong to avoid the communication that is lingering at the corner of this table.

Kayla managed to break her gaze from the window and looked at her friend who was already looking at her – her face was marred with concern.

She immediately held her hand and gave it a tight squeeze.

"Kayla, you don't have to over think, Dr. Grace will do her best for your own good" Kayla gave her a sharp nod and then sighed.

"Kate, it will take some time to sink in. I mean, if they say that visiting a shrink is a bit creepy, I say that exploring your past – mark it which is unknown to you too is equally spine-chilling. She believes that the delusions are not just mere dreams, they have some relevance with her past life" she retorted.

Yes, Dr. Grace Trevelyan, strongly believed that Kayla had a great subtle connection with her past and to know why these visions have chased her forever, she needs to explore her past. She needs to go to her past, using a different theory.

"I understand Kayla; I've heard about Past Life Regression Theory. There are few cases where it has helped the patient to get rid of whatever issues they were having then. There's a chance"

"Yes, exactly Kate, a chance – if you had paid attention she said, there is a fifty percent of chance. Not a definite one. You know she clearly mentioned that there might be chance that I'd get to know what has occurred in her past life to bring such a radical change in her life. But again Kate, she also mentioned that this theory is equally dangerous. Once a patient known to her, was stuck in her past forever. I don't know what I am looking for, I don't know why this is happening to me. But I certainly don't want to get stuck in her past. I don't know how her parents are going to take this"

"Well, I am keeping her fingers crossed. Miranda won't like it"

"Do you believe in all this? Could I possibly have any connection with her past life?"

"Coming Tuesday will answer your questionshe. We need to wait till then."

"Guess, you are right" I said sipping her cold coffee.

They dug into the melted chocolate brownies, which provided us instant relief from all the stress we were undergoing.

They had lined up all her appointments for tomorrow. They had to respond back to her emails and other messages. She opened her – i-pad and saw twenty unanswered mails and few presentations and started to prioritize her mail and answered them accordingly.

"Kayla. You need to rest." She heard Kate telling me who was looking at her intently. She just nodded.
