She smiled at her little intruder who apparently made his way up towards her bedroom.

"Good Morning, EG! Had your walk?" she asked

And got her answer through an enthusiastic bark.

He smelled and sniffed and looked at me, and knew that she was already ready.

She bent down and rubbed his back and head. He circled around the room twice and found his favorite toy to play fetch.

"You want to play fetch." she swung the yellow ball around; he made a huge jump and caught it and came to her for a second round – she replayed the activity for a couple of times and called it off.

"Now, Now boy, I need to go. I'll play with you when I'll be back. Okay? Now come and 've your breakfast with me" she stroked him once again and nuzzled his ears and we rushed downstairs to the dining area.

Her active brown lab, fondly named as Earl Grey was a feet ahead of her.

He went to his favorite spot beside the table of the dining section, where the dog food was kept, he smelled it and began to eat.

She spotted Nancy, arranging the breakfast table and her mother had settled down with her newspaper and her morning tea as usual.

The other staff were busy with their routine – cleaning, scrubbing and cooking. She couldn't see her Dad anywhere.

"Good Morning Mom, Nancy" She spoke out as she approached them.

"Good Morning Darling" her mom responded, she looked at her daughter and she narrowed her eyes.

"Good Morning Kay." Nancy replied, then turned towards mom and asked "Should I make some omelets for Mr. Winston, Mary?"

"No. He prefers to have pancakes today. Just pour him some fresh juice." She answered her casually

Nancy marched into the kitchen and came back with a jar of orange liquid and poured out the juice into the readily kept glass; the breakfast was gladly waiting for her dad.

"Rough night" her mother concluded, looking at her with her shrewd eyes.

"– Not really, I woke early, have an important meeting today."

Miranda looked at Kayla for a full minute, trying to get convinced. Kayla wasn't much of a liar, but she did not wish to share about the weird vision at the moment.

"Where's Daddy?" Kayla asked, deliberately to withdraw her attention from her.

"–He will join us in a minute. He's got a call from the hospital. Some emergency case." she answered in a row, her eyes not leaving her face.

"–Done with your article yesterday?" she asked with another attempt, and was successful – this time.

"–Oh yes! I finally decided to go with her first option – the symptoms of H1N1 influenza and its remedy." Now, she responded enthusiastically, sipping her tea, she neatly folded her newspaper and kept it aside –

"John is through with the editing. Tomorrow's column is ready. Friday I've agreed to go to the University to give a special lecture on Hybridization of Microorganisms"

She looked at Kayla, with an award winning smile.

It made her smile. She was her rock star.

She had always paid more attention towards her professional growth and personal development.

Like her parents, Kayla wanted to do something, which served her interests.

Her parents came from an old English background truly from Tennessee, but were always more inclined towards their passion for their career and their establishment.
