It was dark. Pitch Dark. Veronica carried her torch. She can't shake away the feeling that someone was watching her. She kept looking back while she was walking towards the main house, but didn't find a soul there. She saw the time - it was 11:57, three minutes for their mission to begin.

Few months back, if someone had told her that she will work in a project with Kayla Winston that to in the middle of the night - she would have laughed it off. But, time is a bitch, so were the circumstance  which was unique. She didn't hate Kayla - at least not anymore - which surprised her and what even surprised her was the fact that it was her who approached Kayla for their little mission. She just wanted things to be clear. Sure, she had sensed something weird in the house. She had seen talking to himself a couple of times sitting alone in the room near the window sill as if someone was actually there. When she asked him, he always had denied. She had seen him with a woman three days ago. But she like Kayla - didn't see the face. At first she thought it to be Kayla, but when she was speaking with James for some paperwork, she understood that Kayla and Ryan were not speaking. Then again, the incident which took place in the evening had left many questions unattended. She did make some calls to New York to find more about Kayla through her PI, upon digging she came to know that Kayla did suffer from her dreams - whatever that was. But she knew this house was not completely a safe house. She reached the main foyer, she sneaked into the known corridors and went to the library.

The library door opened and Kayla saw Veronica standing comfortably in her shorts and a tank top. Her hair was in a messy bun and she had torch and mobile in her hands

"Come let's go"

They made sure to keep quiet while passing the living room and main foyer. They came to the top landing of the stairs from where the wings were divided. They took turn to the right and got themselves in the East Wing where no one lived. The corridor was dark - obviously no lights so they switched on their torches and walked quietly and were speaking in a hushed whisper

"This surely is creepy" Veronica said

"I swear - I have always seen all of these only in the movies"

Veronica scoffed "Well, we are in now one" as they entered the third floor, Kayla felt a fresh wave of nauseating feeling hitting her like a slap. She crouched and sank on the floor.

"Hey! What's wrong?" Veronica asked

"I don't feel any good. I feel like I have been here"

"Trust me. You have not been here. HELL! Even I have never been here. Calm down. Breathe and then come down"

Kayla closed her eyes and then opened them. She slowly got to her feet and they both again started walking in the abandoned corridors.

"I think we should first open this room" Veronica pointed out towards the door towards the right.

Kayla felt a tingling warmth when she touched the handle and pushed it open

A gust of dust flew across their faces and both of them started sneezing . Obviously, no one ever cleaned the room - no one ever came this side.

Before they entered the room, Kayla didn't just see the abandoned room - she saw a waking vision. She knew this was the nursery.

"I know this room"

"What?"

"This was a nursery"

"Okay...Kayla you are scaring me"

She closed her eyes and she could see that the nursery once was in pale yellow color. The curtains were in white. The crib was in dark walnut color and the mattress was in white. There was a small changing table and a chest of drawer on the right where soft baby clothes were kept. An arm chair was there in pink color which rested near the window where the woman used to sit when she fed the baby.
