Chapter 3 : has sidnaaz changed?

"Welcome back guys"
Shefali beamed at the camera.
"Let's get back to our conversation with the wonderful, stunning and amazing shehnaz gill".
She lifted her hands towards shehnaz but while at it, her hands hit the cup beside her and fell straight to the ground.This brought shehnaz back to the real world. She found it funny, and giggled.
The fact that she found happiness in the smallest of things, that has never changed.
"So shehnaz", shefali hiding her embarassment, continued with her question.
"We have been talking about you're career, your achievements and success, and about the obvious changes that all of these has brought to your professional and personal life"
Shehnaz agreed shaking her head up and down.
"Shehnaz has changed but what-"
Shefali paused ,gave a naughty smile and asked ,"what about..sidnaaz?Has anything changed to the bond that you've both shared?"
Obviously. Shehnaz told herself. This was expected. Shehnaz has done enough interviews by now that she sometimes can predict the questions. She was thus ready with an answer. Experience can do that to you. She wasn't the gadhi that sidharth used to call her anymore. She has improved and learned a lot.
"No. Nothing has changed. Why would it change?" Whenever it was a question about their relationship she had made it a point to keep it short and simple. Siddharth would do this too.
"Oh come on"shefali wanted something more ."you said it yourself that change is inevitable and that it's good.Just tell us now. Are you guys still dating each other and lying to us that you two are just friends?"

'Just friends', memories flashed through her mind.

"Friends? Why do you keep saying we're just friends siddharth?"
"Well aren't we friends?
"Yes we are but -"
"So isn't that what I said?"
"But I just don't like the way you say that"
"Shehnaz we've had this conversation before right?"
"Yes"
"And then you remember we ended up fighting"
"Yes"
_But you hate it if we fight"
"Yes"
"So then don't do it"
"But I -"
And then someone would interrupt their call, and they'll never be able to talk peacefully. And she can't bring up these topics while they're working together, because siddharth is very professional and doesn't like it. Atleast on biggboss they always had time to settle things, to talk. But now they've both gotten so busy, it's nearly impossible to even talk on the phone. She had declared herself extremely lucky that day because she was free enough to call him and he was free enough to pick the call and yet, it only lasted for about a minute.
Uff she misses him so so much. He always said he missed her too but he didn't seem to be so affected by the way she was.
No, I won't let this happen. It's been 2 freaking years. She has been patient enough. Today Ill ask him. I'll go see him at his house. I'll tie him up and put him at a gun point if I have to. But I won't let him do this again. He always ran away from the damn question.
She walked towards the door calling her driver.
"Sidnaaaazz , Sidnaaz, sidnaaz, sidnaaz"
The excited voices from the crowd brought her back.
She did have a habit of zoning
out, but this time it's not good. I can't mess this up. She told herself.
She waved at the audience, smiled and said,
"No,we have never lied about anything. We really are good friends" Her heart sank a little. But this wasn't a new feeling.
Shefali straightened up, looked sharply at shehnaz and without the slightest warning asked,
"So what was all that about you saying you love him in msk?"

WOAH.

This was very unexpected. She never thought shefali would just straight up ask that question. So direct.Even a little unprofessional.
Is this what she had warned me about in the beginning?
She felt all the cameras direct towards her face trying to catch all her expressions. She saw the crowd, a hundred eyes twinkling at her, waiting for an answer.
This is not good.
