The next day, Mika had found out about Joy coming back and they both showed up. I tried to pretend to be sick but now my brother has healing powers and he found out about me lying. I'm such a disgrace. How could I lie to an angel?

"Listen, Ami, if you don't want to see them, I'll understand".

No! If I say that he'll think they're bad or offended me in some way! There's gonna be murder!

"No, they're very nice. I just..."

Think, motherf*cker think!

"I don't look as cool as them... so I just feel... not so cool".

Thanks, Shakespeare!

My brother's eyes went wide open. I knew there was something going on in his head but I didn't give it too much thought.

I spent the whole day with them and the next day my brother was out.

Imagine my surprise when, sitting in the garden with beautiful roses and trying to drink tea with no sugar and without spilling it or burning my tongue like a decent gentleman, I saw boxes and boxes of fancy clothes coming in the house with a happy look on my brother's face, waving at me.

Call a doctor.

'I don't look as cool as them' right, you useless *€#*%!

----

A few days later, my parents decided that it was time for the clumsy me to enter into society. The four of us went to a banquet organized by Baroness von Klügher. (Don't ask me where I got those names).

Many children were there, one more handsome that the other. Of course, no one compared to the walking god next to me. Gregory, my angel you're growing so fast.

Of course, ladies were getting crazy over him. I never had so many ladies looking approximately at my direction. I felt like a Hollywood star's puppy.

But today was an important day. I hat to find a person called Saia-Caleb. She's the daughter of a rich marchand. She will be the closest and most loyal friend of Kevin. If I can steal her, Gregory will have that strong ally on his side instead.

Caleb is like me. The previous me. Her parents made her life hell. Her mother was a prostitute and father was a powerful marchand.

His wife was very angry finding out about an illegitimate child so when Caleb's mother tried to get some money out of them, threatening to reveal her existence and cause a scandal, they just took her from her for some money and she wasted herself to death with alcohol. Then the real Hell began her, as the "stepmother" abused her every day.

She made her work as a slave and she was beaten and humiliated on a daily basis without her father giving a shit. She took revenge on her for her husband's infidelity. Like how is this the child's fault? I can't understand adults. When reading this part, I couldn't help but see myself in the character.

One day, she revealed her powers and the father made her the heir because in this world, the stronger your powers, the higher in the hierarchy you are.

The only reason she was so faithful to Kevin, was because he was the only one who treated her like a human being. That's unfair. She died at the hands of Mika in the book and I never want that to happen!

Kevin also made her kill her entire family, not like the step mother and father didn't deserve it, but why kill the siblings? They abused her, yes but only because of that vicious woman's bad influence.

I don't want her to cover her hands in blood. I thought about killing Mike so many times when he got high on the couch. I could have just ended his life and he wouldn't even feel it. But I knew it wasn't the right thing to do...
One day as he had an overdose with my mother completely wasted in the other room, I could watch him choke in his own vomit but I saved him.

I payed a big price for that but I don't consider it as a mistake. Weather he lives or not is not up to me to decide.

My face must have looked like a ghost's or something while I was thinking all of this because I felt my brother's stare. I quickly shook it off and smiled at him. I must look so creepy making those faces and fake smiling just after.

'Please don't freak out, Gabriel'.

He wanted to walk to me but got surrounded by some guys from his school so I walked straight to the garden to get some fresh air.

That's when I saw her.

I couldn't not recognize the grey hair, purple eyes and shabby clothes. She was exactly like I imagined her...
