What happens to you after death? What do you see? Is it light? Is it darkness? Do you feel pain? Or fear? What do you see? What do you feel?

Everyone asked me questions.

Everyone, except for one.

My family and friends were asking me many questions. Only a few have been back from the dead in this world and they all talked about seeing the Goddess of Light. Each one in a different form. Some had seen her as a little girl. Some as a beautiful young lady.

I told them that I saw an old lady but didn't tell them that I had seen her in the village before. I knew what it meant: I was dead from the moment I came to this world and that's why I was able to see her.

When asked about what I saw in my afterlife journey, I answered that I was asleep all the long and didn't remember a thing.

Everyone laughed.

Except for one.

She was looking at me with a purple gaze as if she was able to see my very soul. She kept silent the whole day while everyone was celebrating my comeback, laughing and hugging me.

We stayed up until very late at night, even my parents. They asked the poor staff to prepare the biggest feast, with great food and musicians as if they were having a banquet when there was only my family, my friends and the Princess.

After that energized day, we all went to bed exhausted. But not before my brother spent at least half an hour with me, speaking and making up for the time we were separated.

At four in the morning, I was finally in front of my door, alone. I sent Swingler to sleep a few hours ago insisting that I could go to bed alone.

I was in the corridor, my hand on the handle of my door. I was hesitant to enter. I was able to keep up my happy face for the whole day with ease because I was genuinely happy. But now came the aftershock and I was shaking like a leaf.

'This is all real. This is all real. This is all real. This is all...'

"Ami..."

I turned around and we were alone. She had a serious face on, as if she knew from the beginning that I was lying to everyone about what happened. She knew better than anyone my lying face.

"Caleb."

I let go on the handle and lifted my hands, as if giving up. As if surrendering and she appeared in my arms.

"Tell me everything."
