I was thankful for Toretto helping Deck break me out. I was disappointed that we couldn't catch Cipher. But, sacrificing his kid was too much. With her identity out, she couldn't mess with any of us. She needed to watch her back more than ever. I was happy to be back to my old self. With my life back, I was going to do things right, starting with Cassie.
I enjoyed babysitting Dom's son. He was a well-mannered kid. Deck had fun dressing him in Union Jack shoes. I figured it would be a nice little joke. I waited in the rooftop hallway of their safehouse while everyone met up. Deck gave my entrance cue by saying he had a gift.
"Hey babe. Happy to see me?" I said as I walked in
Cass's mouth dropped. Everyone else seemed shocked to see me, even the old team. I slowly approached her as she was in utter disbelief. I cupped her chin & smiled at her affectionately.
"Cass? Can you hear me?" I asked
Cass smiled as tears slowly fell down. Her right hand slowly came up to my face. I thought she was going to pull me into a kiss but she ended up backhanding me. Everyone snickered from her reaction. Deck stood by & held his hands up. I was all alone against a livid Cass.
"You bloody git, no good knob head. Why the hell did you land in the slammer again?! I had half a mind to let you rot." She angrily scowled
"I know. I deserve all the anger you have for me. I'm sorry for putting you through hell. I swear to you Cassie. I'm not screwing up anything else with you now." I promised as I grabbed her hands
"You better not. I swear to God I'll toss you in a black site myself." She swore
"I know you will." I chuckled as I rummaged through my pocket
Cass didn't seem to pay attention until I dropped on my knee. She gasped as everyone's eyes were on me.
"Cassandra Martin, you're the only thing in my life that's been right. You've put up with a lot of crap on my part. I don't know what I've done to deserve your patience. Thank you for not giving up on me. Without you, I'd be even more of a tosser." I appreciated which made her chuckle a little
"So, I'm finally going to make good on my promise. I'm not wasting the peace we finally have. You're the only woman for me." I worked up as I pulled the box
"Cassie, would you make my life whole & marry me?" I proposed as I flipped open the box.
