"Get your suitcase from upstairs and put it by the front door," My mom shouted from her room. I had to get up at six in the morning and I didn't like it. I hoped Niall would appreciate it and that the date would go well; otherwise, I would have been getting up so early for nothing.
I huffed as I got up from the edge of my bed, fixing my clothes before reaching the door and opening it, dragging my suitcase behind me and taking it downstairs, placing it by the front door like my mom told me. I saw her descending down the stairs, dragging her own suitcase behind her and placing it by mine. She walked to the kitchen as I followed her like a lost puppy.
"Have you had something to eat?" She asked, opening the refrigerator's door and scanning it's contents.
"No, not yet," I answered, sitting on the kitchen counter.
"We'll have breakfast on the plane, but eat some cereal 'cause the plane doesn't take off for another three hours."
"I can't survive three hours on cereal," I nearly yelled and my mom laughed, "I think I'm just gonna make some pancakes," I said, already searching through the cupboards for the pancake mix.
"Okay, but be quick. We leave in twenty minutes," She said and I kept silent as I began to make the pancakes. Once I was done, I grabbed a fork and a knife before sitting on one of the bar stools and beginning to devour the pancakes. When I was done eating, I looked at the watch on my wrist and realized that mom and I only had five minutes before we were supposed to leave the house, so I made a quick stop to the bathroom then quickly visited my room to make sure I didn't forget anything. I was interrupted by the doorbell and instantly looked at my watch. It was seven in the morning and I started wondering who the hell would visit us at this time of day as I walked down the stairs and towards the door. I took a glance through the peephole and smiled before unlocking the door and opening it.
"You really didn't think I'd let you leave without saying goodbye, did you?" Niall raised an eyebrow and I rolled my eyes.
"Great! First my dad and now you. What is wrong with you two making it sound like I'll be gone forever!" I rolled my eyes.
"That doesn't mean I won't miss you. Come here," he held his arms wide, anticipating a hug and I obliged, throwing my arms around his torso as I snuggled close to his body. His arms wrapped themselves around me before he buried his face into my neck.
"Come on Rachel we're gonna be-" My mom cut herself mid-sentence as she saw Niall and I hugging, "Oh, hello there Niall, how are you doing?" My mom said as soon as Niall and I pulled away, a smirk finding its way across her features.
"Hey there Mrs. Simmons, I'm great," Niall waved with a smile on his face.
"You excited about your date?" My mom said with a devious tone and I threw her a glare.
"Um...yeah. Rachel told you?" my mom nodded, "Is it someone I know?" Niall said, trying to get an answer out of her since he didn't seem to have any luck with me. What a sly bastard.
"Oh yes, it's someone you know," She nodded.
"Mom!" I hissed.
"What? I didn't say anything!" She argued and I huffed. I turned to look at Niall who was still standing by the door with his hands in his pockets and a smug look on his face.
"Is it Chelsea" he quickly asked me with a hopeful look on his face, meanwhile my face fell and so did my mom's when I looked at her.
"You still like her?" I said in a low voice as I fiddled with my fingers before I looked up at him again, anticipating an answer.
