Chapter 30- Not Everyone Gets A Happy Ending

I can't remember how old y'all are so we're just gonna pretend you're in grade 11, going into 12

Your POV

Two years. The best two years of your life. Two years since Plasmius, two years since your parents found out your identity, and two glorious years with Danny as your boyfriend.

At the moment, Danny and you were sitting on top of a hill, a blanket spread underneath you, as you sat together in happy silence.

Danny had said earlier that he had a surprise for you, since it was your two year anniversary. You happily agreed and he ran off to set things up. When he came back to get you, you both transformed and flew to a  hill, where Danny had set up a picnic for two with a beautiful view of the sunset. He remembered it was your favourite time of day, and set this up to happen just in time to see it.

"You're the best, you know that?" You sighed happily. Danny just chuckled. "I'm not kidding," you said laughing. He pulled your arm and leaned back against the tree as you snuggled into his chest. He kissed the top of your head and held you close as you watched the sunset.

"Can you believe our parents know?" His chest rumbled on your head. His voice has gotten noticeably deeper and you loved it.

"Not really," you admitted. "It seems just like yesterday I got my powers."

"I know what you mean," he agreed. "When I met you, I wouldn't have thought this is where we would've ended up." Then he looked at you and grabbed your hand, the one with the ring, and rubbed the stones. You smiled and watched him.

The sun was almost gone now, disappearing and taking its light and warmth with it. Danny lightly trailed his hand over your cheek and you smiled. He just stared right into your (e/c) orbs as you stared back at his blue ones. He cupped your cheek and gently pulled you in to kiss you. It started off soft, your lips moving in a dance against each other, but it got deeper and more passionate. After what felt like ages, you both pulled back panting but smiling.

"What was that for?" You panted. He smiled.

"To thank you for being the best." Then he stood and reached a hand down to help you up. You cleaned up your picnic date and transformed, flying back to your houses. You sat on the roof with him for a while, just enjoying each other's company.

When you looked up at him, you caught him yawning and you giggled.

"Are you tired, ghost boy?" You teased. He fake pouted.

"Maybe-..." he said. You laughed and tried to get up, but he pulled you back down against his chest and held you tightly. "No." He said, his voice like a little kids. You laughed and phased though him, then floated over top of him. He crossed his arms.

"Come on Danny. I'll even come to your house and tuck you in." He couldn't resist your offer and floated down to his room, you following close behind. When he turned back human, he just took off his shirt and flipped into bed. You laughed and made him get under the covers. He smiled with his eyes closed.

"Hey Y/n?" He said quietly. You ran a hand through his hair. "I'm glad our parents know. And I'm so glad that you're here with me."

"Me too Danny. Me too." You said softly. He was almost asleep so you kissed him on the head and he smiled. "Goodnight." You said as you phased back though the wall.

As you flew the ten meters between his house and yours, you started getting an odd pain in your stomach. You closed your eyes and clutched the area as a stabbing pain shot through you. Suddenly, your transformation dropped and you fell to the ground, whimpering in pain and clutching your stomach. It felt like someone had ripped out your internal organs. You felt yourself start to black out from the pain and struggled to stay awake.

Before you passed out fully, you remember a dark shadow fall over the ground. Then you heard it speak, the voice deep and menacing.

"Night night Y/n."
