Danny's POV

Ever since Y/n left him standing alone on the sidewalk on Friday, his weekend had been miserable. During his flight back home on Friday, he ran into a couple of misfit ghosts getting into some trouble on the other side of town. That little altercation left him with a bad slash down the stomach that he had to patch up when he got home. Jazz reprimanded him when she found out of course, but the dull ache reminded him that it wasn't getting much better, even with his enhanced healing. He cleaned and wrapped his stomach then pretty much passed out from exhaustion Friday night. But he doesn't sleep the whole night.

On Saturday morning he got up and noticed there were no calls, no texts, no nothing from both Y/n and Sam. Even though he knew he deserved  it, he just wanted Y/n to forgive him. So for the whole weekend he tried to think of ways to make it better, ways to say how sorry he was, and at night he went on patrol. When he came home he would re-wrap his stomach and he laid in bed unable to sleep. So when Monday morning came he looked terrible, and he knew it.

Trudging down the stairs after throwing on what he hoped were some clean clothes, he grunted out a response to his moms cheery, "good morning sweetie!"  Grabbing the box of cereal and a bowl he noticed Jazz staring at him over her book at the table.

"What," he demanded, more harshly than he meant. Jazz raised an eyebrow at him and looked him up and down once before going back to her book. Danny rolled his eyes at his sisters antics. Taking his seat he picked at his cereal as it turned to mush in his milk. His mom looked at him concerned.

"Danny, is everything okay?" His dad stopped fiddling with an ectogun and also stared at him. Danny winced when he saw the gun.

"Yeah mom I'm fine. Just tired. Didn't get much sleep last night," or the past three nights he thought to himself. Maddie stared at him concerned for a few more seconds before heading back to the kitchen. Jack went back to his gun and Danny decided to start heading to school. He grabbed his bag and said bye on the way out. Closing his front door softly, he decided to check on Y/n. She hadn't texted but just because she was mad at him, doesn't mean he didn't worry. Going ghost, he turned invisible and flew up to her window. Just then her room door swung open and she came in, looking for something. Before she left she stopped and looked around suspiciously, as if she noticed him there.

But that's impossible... right? He held his breath until she left and waited over her house for her to come out. He knew it was bit creepy but he was just being a good friend. Right? She started walking towards school and stuck some earbuds in. He noticed she, again, walked so fast past his house she was almost running then slowed down as she turned the corner. He sighed before turning visible and heading to the ground to turn human again. Sticking his hands in his pocket, he made his way to the sidewalk and followed in her trail, his head down, towards school.

He did not expect to be getting mad at Dash this early but yet here we are. As he walked into the school, the first thing he saw was Dash dangling a small piece of paper over Y/n's head.

"Too afraid to come get it from me?" Danny heard Dash taunt.

"Enough Dash. Just give me back the picture. Now." Kids we're starting to notice the commotion and gathering around Y/n and Dash to watch.

"Looks like someone doesn't know how to say please," he said in a sarcastic singsong voice. Y/n growled out a short response.

"Give. Me. Back. That. Photo." As Danny came closer, he saw it was a photo of the four of them at the fair. He smiled in remembrance. That was a fun day. In the light of the day they walked around the grounds trying a bunch of different food, then doing some of the arcade games. Once the sun set they went on the Ferris wheel and watched the lights of the rides from high up. Danny and Y/n took one cart and Sam and Tucker took another. Danny and Y/n's cart stopped at the highest point of the Ferris wheel and Y/n was entranced by the lights of the fair. Danny remembered how he watched her face light up and how the lights reflected in her eyes, the breeze of the high up air ruffling her hair.
