Your POV
Last night after you and your mom took a look around the house, you decided to just go out to eat. You ended up watching a movie together and eating a pizza from a local take out joint. You went to bed late because you needed to half make your bed that was set up in your new room. Your alarm clock went off and you groaned, slapping a hand across the top to stop the alarm.
Getting up, your eyes wandered to the big window in your room. It looked out over the odd house next to you. You got up and grabbed a hoodie out of your bag, then walked over to the window and pulled the blinds open. You noticed that there was a window overlooking a room in your neighbours house. Watching, you looked for some sight of movement and suddenly there was some.
A boy came past the window struggling with pulling a shirt over his mop of raven hair. He finally got his shirt fully on and you looked at him. He had fluffy looking black hair with captivating icy blue eyes. He looked about your age but you couldn't be sure. He walked past the window in the other direction, not noticing the girl gawking at him from the other window across from him.
Spinning around on your heel, you forced yourself to go get dressed for the school day. First days were always the worst. They say you'll be fine but really... they lied. As your nerves started to rise, you grabbed a pair of black leggings and a purple tank top, along with a black hoodie and some air forces. As you tied your hair up you walked over to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.
"This'll do" you thought. Quickly running down the stairs you met your mom already up and making breakfast in the kitchen with the little bit of food you bought yesterday.
" Morning honey" she said, her voice sounding bright, "how did you sleep?"
"Oh fine." You replied, taking a seat at the table.
"You look good today" your mother replied. "Are you excited for school?"
"I'm excited for school to be done so I can come back home" you replied. "And what do you mean I look good TODAY? Do I not look good everyday?" You joked.
Your mother laughed and pointed at the food on the table, "just eat your food and hurry up. We have to get going if we're going to be on time." You chuckled and finished up your food before grabbing your backpack and heading out the door. Throwing your bag into the car you glanced over at the neighbours house. You didn't see any movement so you hopped into the car trying to forget about the boy next door and your mom started to drive towards the school.
Pulling up to the school, you read the name sign. "Casper High" you read. You mom leaned over and gave you a kiss on the cheek.
"Don't be nervous hon. You'll be fine. I'll see you after school okay?"
"Okay. But if it's okay, could I walk home? Get a lay of the streets and such?" You asked
"Sure Y/n. Just be careful alright?"
"Okay"
Walking into Casper High it was like the whole school froze. Everyone stopped and looked at you so you just pretended not to notice and kept walking towards the office. Once there the receptionist smiled at you. "I'm Y/n L/n. I'm new." You said. She smiled and gave you a locker number and combination.
" Welcome to Casper High dear" she said politely
"Thank you". After leaving the office you headed towards the lockers. After a while of searching, you finally found it and looked down at your combination. 26-12-16. That shouldn't be that hard right? Well you were wrong. The lock kept sticking no matter how hard you tried. Rattling the lock angrily, you noticed a hand set down on the locker next to you. Following the hand up the arm to the face, you saw a tall, blond boy looking down at you with a slight smirk. He was wearing a football jacket and you immediately knew he was one of those jocks. "Oh great. This is not what I need right now" you thought to yourself.
"Hey doll. Anything I can help you with?" Asked the jock with a smirk. You scowled in his direction.
"You could help me by leaving" you said back, turning back to face your locker.
"I wouldn't be so rude if I were you" he said "I know your the new kid and all but don't expect me to take it any easier on you then I do on people like Fenturd." He replied angrily.
"I wouldn't be so pushy if I were you because who knows where my foot will end up. Probably somewhere you won't like" you answered back cooly. "Now leave me alone"
He shoved himself away from the lockers down the hall and you heard him smack the books out of some kids behind you. "Outta my way Fenton" he growled. Giving one last pull, your locker clicked open and you stumbled backwards. Looking around you noticed who's books the blonde hit.
It was the raven haired boy from next door. He was standing looking dumbfounded as well as a goth girl and a techy looking boy with a red beret. The boy next door blinked as he noticed he was staring and he blushed a bright crimson. You looked at them as the black haired boy bent down to pick up his books that were now scattered across the floor.
"S-sorry. I-I didn't... I'm..." the boy stammered standing up. You finally got a good look at him when he stood fully. He was a bit taller than you, with lean muscle showing in places when he bent down. But you really noticed his eyes. They were that sparkling icy blue that you just couldn't tear your gaze from when you looked at him. "I-I'm..." he tried again before the other techy looking guy stepped in.
"You must be new here. I'm Tucker" he said wiggling his eyebrows at you. "And by the way I definitely think that you're a 9 and I'm the 1 you need" he said smoothly and you broke a small smile. You looked at the goth girl as she shook her head at the boy, Tucker.
"I am soooo sorry. I'm Sam and I apologize for his behaviour" she said nodding at Tucker. "And he's" she said pointing to the still staring black haired boy, "he's Danny." He waved shyly at you, his face still pink. Just then the warning bell rang and you quickly grabbed your bag and shut your locker.
"Shoot. I am so sorry about this" you said " but I really don't wanna be late on my first day so I have run. I'll see you guys later" you said sprinting the other way. Turning the corner you found what room you were looking for and headed in just as the bell rang to start class.
"Ah Ms. L/n. I see you made it here alright" said a balding teacher at the front of the room. "I will see you after class to give you your textbook and some instructions and information about my class" he said smiling. "Take a seat. Class this is Y/n. She is the new student here." He said to the class. He turned back to you and scowled at something behind you. "Ah Mr. Fenton. Late again I see." Said the teacher. You turned to see the black haired boy, Danny, behind you. He ducked his head a bit and mumbled out a half apology before heading past you to his seat. Looking around the class the only open seat you noticed was right next to Danny. So you gathered you bearings, sat next to him and tried to focus as much as you could on your morning classes.
