Danny's POV
"We'll have to finish this game of 20 questions some other time," said Danny, making her smile.
"There's going to be another time?" He shrugged. Then he gave a small smirk.
"Possibly." He said slyly before turning invisible and disappearing. What she didn't know was that he didn't leave. He just stayed invisible and poked his head through her window. He watched as she shook her head where he was standing, then fold the dirtied blanket that he was laying on. She set it on the floor then went over to her desk. Pulling open a drawer, she gently took out the picture, and stroked it softly.
He felt his brows furrow. She was so strong, just hiding her pain beneath the surface for her mom. He heard her sniff and noticed her start to cry as she turned to put the photo back on the wall. He chest felt heavy with guilt. "Why wouldn't she tell anyone this?" She just carried this around, not telling anyone. Danny stayed for a while longer, then decided to let her have some peace and quiet. He floated back to his window and into his room. The two white rings encircled him and he detransformed, sitting on his bed. He felt bad about bringing it up. The pain he saw in her eyes was unlike anything he'd ever seen. Then he thought about something she said.
"I really like it here, and I have a couple really good friends. I'm not sure what I would do without them," and then she stared directly at him. He sighed.
"She knows," he told himself. He knew she wasn't dumb. She would've figured it out eventually. But he wondered why she hadn't told him that she'd figured it out yet. He laid on his bed just thinking about the events of tonight. He thought about how he came close to kissing her.
"Do I like Y/n?" The realization hit him like a ton of bricks. He sat up and looked toward his window. Standing, he went towards it and looked towards her house. He didn't see her. He turned and went back to his dresser, grabbing some new clothes to change into for bed. But just then, his ghost sense went off. He sighed, dropping his clothes onto his bed, then transforming and heading out the window for the second time that night.

"Plasmius," Danny growled. Plasmius turned and gave an evil smirk. Danny floated up to meet him."Ahhh my dear little badger. What brings you out this late at night?" He asked innocently. Danny frowned.
"Oh I wonder. It just so happens I was going to go to bed, but a certain ghost was near my house, making my ghost sense go off. I wonder who that was?" Danny said sarcastically. Plasmius shrugged.
"I don't know what your talking about." Danny rolled his eyes at that comment.
"I'm sure." He shot back. Plasmius gave another evil smile.
"Whatever you say little badger. I was just doing some... viewing of potential assets," said Plasmius. Danny tipped his head.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Your little friend next door is very pretty. And smart too. A double whammy. Something I'm definitely looking for in my applicants," he smirked. "But you don't want to know about boring stuff like that now do you?"
"Don't even think about going near her or I swear I will-..."
"Oh always with the temper," interrupted Plasmius. "You know it's not a becoming trait for you." Danny glared at him.
"What do you want with her?"
"Now that's for me to know and you to find out." Danny charged at Plasmius just to fly right through him. "Now there is the problem with you Daniel. Always thinking with your muscles and temper and not your head." Said Plasmius before he disappeared in a cloud of pink mist. Danny's eyes went wide.
