We spent the next couple of days cleaning and throwing out all the debris. Tony got cranes and such to do the rest, and so now we were all chilling and doing whatever we wanted.
Fury was in contact with Steve and Tony, discussing terms of working with SHIELD. Carol took off, going to help other planets in the galaxy, and then the guardians or whatever left too.
Scott went back to his family, which just left me bored out of my mind. I ordered books and new clothes, thanks to my dad, but they weren't going to get here for a couple more days.
It's currently four in the morning, I woke up with a nightmare. In the morning—in a couple hours, we have a meeting with Fury about becoming members or however that works.
There has been talk about Hydra being back, but we were trying to keep it quiet for Bucky. So, now I sit at the kitchen table, a cup of coffee next to my coloring book.
It was something I bought yesterday, an Avengers coloring book and some colored pencils. Coloring always calmed my mind, even back in high school.
I look up as I hear a nearby door open, my body tensing as Peter stops and stares.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, looking back down at the picture of Captain America i'm coloring—go figure, of course it's Steve.
I quickly turn the page and start on a picture of Thor.
"There's that meeting in the morning. Mr Stark said I could stay." He mutters as he goes over to the fridge.
"But you're not an Avenger."
I keep my head down, looking at the picture, a little nervous to look at him.
"Technically, I am."
I take a sip of my coffee, cringing at the bitterness. I continue to color, not wanting to look at Peter.
He grabs a cup and fills it with water, and then he leans against the counter.
"Will you look at me?" He sounds slightly annoyed.
I sigh and look over. "I'm coloring."
"Why? It's four in the morning."
"Cause I can." I mumble, while looking back and filling out the helmet.
"What's your problem?"
"I don't have a problem, Parker. I'm giving you—"
"You called me Parker."
"I don't have a problem, Peter. I'm trying to give you space."
"I don't need space."
"You seemed like you did when you were yelling at me." I rub my temple and close my eyes.
He's quiet, and so I take another sip of my coffee. I quickly tie up my hair in a bun, annoyed at how it gets in the way.
"Your hair's white."
"It's been white for a week, Peter."
"I know...I just—think I liked it better dark." I glance at him and see the way he winces. "I mean...I just have to get used to it."
