3rd Person's POV

"... You know, in case we don't make it" everyone stopped walking to stare at the tall, raven haired beauty for her thoughtless remark.

Her arms automatically shifted up in a defensive position, rolling her eyes in the process "– even though you know I'm totally sure we will –" she casually added, causing them all to roll their eyes in answer to her words, before continuing their walk to nowhere in particular. None of them missed the underlying note of sarcasm she had expressed.

"I think we should know each other's names" ... nobody spoke – causing raw emotion to seep into her next words.

"... so... you know... when someone dies this time round, the survivors will at least be able to carve NAMES into our gravestones!"

Her mildly-hysteric outburst caused them all to turn towards her again with their broken hearts bleeding pain openly, clear for all to see. None of them were ready to admit that her words had cut deep, in more ways than one. After a few long seconds of trying to overcome their raging sentiments, the girls turned to face the little one who was now to be their leader.

They look at their new Alpha. The child radiating dominance, with a face too emotionless for one so young.

"If you prefer, you may all relay your names to me and I shall be sure to remember them, along with your last wishes, for I do not plan on dying here. I do not plan on dying so soon. I will have my revenge. I will make all those responsible pay for what they did. I cannot die here. I REFUSE TO DIE HERE!"

Cierra's POV (Loud Dungeon Girl)

Her words echoed through the dense surroundings, making me slow my pace to a stop as the words of my young Alpha sunk in. She still has some soul left in her, for sure. She surely is the Beast's daughter. She has definitely inherited his spirit. To think she still has enough to think clearly at this point, after losing her pack – after willingly abandoning its remnants – after becoming a Packless Alpha – is unheard of, and yet still is seen a silent accomplishment.

She is a survivor.

I sense a hint of naivety in her words. How can she still be hoping for revenge? How can she still expect the world to play fair? How can she expect to win a lost battle?

How could she still have such a strong will to live after everything she has been through?

Keep your guard up, girl. The rogues are starting to make their move.

With her words, I feel a sense of shame run though me. How could I let myself break in front of my Alpha? If it had been any other person, I surely would have been punished for my rudeness towards the higher rank.

Only then did I feel the shift in the air, and the silence hitting a tone lower. The 2 wolves are close... and reek of dry body odour. Urgh! Disgusting!

But then again, what do you expect from those without a home? They probably bathe in whatever form of water they find...

... Ew...

Note to self. BEWARE infected streams... They may hold Rogue-cooties.

I vaguely felt a set of eyes fixed on me before a shadow crossed mine – one of the wolves had made a lunge at me from behind, before I even had a chance to process the move. I feel a hairy mass land on my back as a pair of sharp teeth clamp onto my bared neck.

"NO!!!" I heard the Alpha scream before lunging at the wolf above me in human form. How she had the strength to successfully push a grown wolf off its prey will probably remain a mystery to me.
