Ryan's POV

When I got to the Main Hall, I saw a group of rogues lounging on the sofas and chairs - some of these disgusting people were even splayed on the tables. Most of them were still in minimum clothing, having probably just recently shifted from wolf form.

Who the hell are these people? Wondered Bruno, sounding just as revolted as me. We could smell the dirt layering their skin - most likely due to not bathing for days. Common for rogues.

Don't they have any decency? I scrunched my face in disgust, along with my fists - purely accidental on my part, though.

Although I've learnt to control my emotions better, I still can't say that I don't lose control sometimes.

They're probably with the new Alpha. I heard she was expecting the rest of her companions to be reaching today - along with her chosen Beta.

I try to stay a positive as I can as I follow the scent of my pup, hoping what any parent would in my situation. That the child has all limbs intact, has inherited the better traits of its parents - as well as got the best combination of genes in the looks department.

Maybe my pup will know where Diana is? I thought, remembering the first and last day I ever saw her - a familiar ache dulling my heart, as well as hurting my rare happy mood.

All I could do right now was stay positive. Maybe I can make everything work out between us... Maybe we can start a happy family, like we were supposed to.

I hurry my steps through the large room, following the scent of my pup. I hope she'll forgive me when I apologise. I've changed since then.

And I really want us to work now. I smiled to myself as I concreted me beliefs, for the thousandth time since I realised. I really know we could make this work.

As I got to where the smell of my pup originated from, I noticed a man stood before him, protectively - as if he saw me a threat to my own pup.

I couldn't help but release a low growl as the hairs behind my neck stood in attention at my sudden change in demeanour. How dare he?

No doubt, all I felt right now was anger towards the man before me.

Though he seemed to have realised my hostility towards his unappreciated ass, he still remained looking casual - his eyes just as calm, but revealed a hidden threat to not come any closer. I stopped my advance, not sure if I should continue or no. He must have noticed how conflicted I felt, and turned his lips up in a hated smirk.

From the way he was behaving towards me, different from other pack wolves around us, I had a feeling he knew exactly who I was - and whom I had come to meet.

Or better yet, take away with me. I'm here for my pup and mate, and I'm not leaving til I get some answers.

I felt as if he had read my mind, as he started to talk to me - skipping the niceties and formalities as he said, "This little pup, right here," he gestured to my little pup still holding his hand, staring at me blankly - his gaze so cold towards me, who he should've recognised by now as his father. "-is Alpha Faith's pup."

What the hell is he on about? He's clearly mine and Diana's pup!

Pinpointed the smell once more, it only led me back to the little angel beside him. Looking back to my pup, I could only become more doubtless of my thoughts. It was true. He's our pup.
