Well this story started on one cold winters night I was just minding my own business, sprawled out in a defoliated area facing east - clearly trying to die quietly in the deep dark forest closest to my Coven - when a werewolf unexpectedly crossed my path.

And to top it off, instead of leaving me alone and letting me burn in peace, he somehow seemed do believe it a bright idea to just stand there and watch me for a few minutes - knowing full well I could sense his unhidden presence, even with my eyes currently closed.

It took all my will power not to snap at his obvious rudeness. Instead, I sighed in annoyance.

What does it have to take for a Vampire to just find a nice, quiet death spot around here? ... I swear, people have no manners these days.

"Hey. *whistle* Yo!... Vampire dude! What are you doing out here? Where's your coven?"

I think my exhaled air might had given him the motivation he needed to speak with me. Why do I always seem to do the wrong things?

"They kicked me out..." I am forced to avert my eyes, not wanting to answer the questions which I knew were sure to come.

Not liking the fact this man wouldn't just leave me alone, I tried to hint my desires in the nicest way I could.

"Do you mind? I'd like to be left alone." Ok, maybe I could've been nicer - if that thing in his arms hadn't thought it the best time to drool over my forehead.

"What are you doing?" The idiot of a man asked, through my exaggeratedly desperate attempts to clean his pups saliva off my face with my ripped coat sleeve.

"Waiting for sunrise. What does it look like I'm doing?"

He stared at me, his face revealing just how stupid he thought I was.

"Are you new to the whole "I'm-a-vamp" thing?" He asked, clearly thinking I hadn't understand the repercussions of my actions. "Hasn't anyone told you a vampire dies when in direct sunlight? Do you have a death wish?"

"Yes." I simply stated, not caring of his opinion on the matter. "Now if you don't mind, I'd like to live my last few hours in piece. So go away, and take that babbling monstrosity with you."

"What's your name, vamp?" He asked, me only realising now that both him and the kid were sucking on something. ... Are those sour pops?

"Trystan." I answered. Not really sure why, though. Maybe I was just a bit too distracted by the mans childishness to do the smart thing and stay silent.

Did he actually go venturing in the human world for candy?... What the hell is wrong with this guy?!

Doesn't he understand that the humans are a danger to us? If they'd coat him they'd skin him and his monkey alive without a second thought! They'd use them as test dummies to try and "understand" us more! Or worse, they'd become taxidermy dolls in a freak museum!

Is he insane? Or just as suicidal as I am? I wondered. Why go out there with a child?!

"How old are you?" He asked, snapping me out of my mental ranting and the questioning of his questionable state of sanity. Rethinking his question, I decide honesty couldn't hurt at this point - not like it matters anyways.

"I turned 182 this year, why?"

"Wow. Still so young!" I couldn't tell if he was being serious or not, with that huge ass grin spread across his face.
