3rd Person's POV
FLASHBACK
Faith had no idea what to do at this point. She had not expected anyone to notice her so fast.
"Hey! Wake up, boys!" she heard the same man calling, "... Look what then cat dragged in."
Not liking the fact that she was still on the floor, in a defenceless position, she decided to force her aching body to stand up and face her new inmates. As she stood there, putting all her effort into not swaying with her slight dizziness, she steadily drew and held a calculated breath, before releasing it along with some of her pent up stress - calming her mind and body for whatever struggles may still be left to tackle.
"... Hi," She answered, her low tone clearly audible in the quietness - enough confidence in her tone to let them know she held no fear when facing them.
Well, at least the girl got some guts... she's going to need a whole lot of brains to survive down here, though. That pretty little face might just be enough to get her killed ... Or worse. They thought, not missing the fact that she had not made eye contact yet, with any of them. Her hair had successfully formed a curtain, shielding the windows to her soul.
"I don't like repeating myself, but I'll say it again just in case you didn't get the message there,"the stranger - who seemed to be the leader in this cell - sighed, rubbing his forehead with his free hand as if chasing away a coming headache; His other hand lazily relaxing in the pocket of his torn jeans. He calmly asked again, "Why don't you look over here, new girl... and introduce yourself.. ? "
Calm them down, Faith. Don't give them a reason to confront you. She told herself.
Just keep a low profile until you've understood them.
To control the situation, you'll have to understand the people you are going against.
She kept repeating her teachings through her mind, one of the many lessons she had successfully completed with her father.
Daddy. Her heart ached to sense him again. To feel his comforting presence in the hell hole she had ended up landing herself in.
"...Faith," she didn't feel the need to reveal her family name, in case one of them knew her pack. She couldn't let them delve in her personal life, in case they found something they could use against her, and cause more pain than she had already been inflicted. She doubted the possibility, but didn't want to give them a chance to, either.
"Hello, Faith," the man before her mischievously smirked as he looked at her non-frightened form. It was new for him to meet a girl who did not even shiver in fright, at the position she had been put in. Locked in a cell with 4 male wolves - yet her guarded tone nor body language portrayed any form of hidden fear - only distrust.
"My name is Jessie," he smiled, trying to show the new girl a little warmth in the ice cold cell - he wanted her trust, as well as her co-operation. He wanted everything to stay running smoothly in his area of the dungeon, even with an unexpected change in circumstances.
He held his hand out for her to shake and, without saying a word, she slowly raised her own to greet the person who would - for now - act as her ally, in the duration she'd need to figure out how everything works around here.
If she was dubbed worthy to join their group, that is.
"Look up, Faith. Say hello to your new cell mates." Jessie ordered, "They'll be showing you the ropes down here, as well as help you out of any sticky situations that you are bound to get caught in. " Jessie explained, folding his arms and leaning on the nearest wall - trying to give Faith a better view of her new team, as well as clearing her route to them.
