Chapter 29 - Escaping the Darkness

Present time ...

Faith's POV

Everything's changes since then. I've learnt to trust again - my companions are to thank for that. They may not have been the best people at first, but they changed for me; and I learnt to do the same for them.

"I dumped them three dodo's into the Hann River." Lenn informed, wiping his hands on his jeans to rid them of any filthiness.

"Did the usual - chained a brick to their feet so their bodies sink." He said casually, making some of the people still sitting on the sidelines to widen their eyes, disturbed at the new piece of information their ears had unfortunately gathered. "What you want me to do now, Faith?"

Nonchalant, as usual... When I first made him do this type of thing, he cried for days.

He's grown a lot since then. Maya whispered proudly, and I could only agree.

Maya and me are on simple talking terms now - we talk when needed, simple. I still don't let Maya out in wolf form though, although it doesn't bother her much now since she's taken a liking to the half-human form she forces over whenever she has control. She stays in my form sometimes too though, when she deemed it best to conserve energy.

Who knows when you might need it, eh? Is what she's always telling me.

I don't let Maya out as a wolf because I know that'd be the day I totally lose control of myself. I don't even want to know what unfortunate events would occur, if that ever happened.

"Agatha, get some Omega's to come down and clean this mess up. I want everything set and ready for crowning to be held two days from now."

Some people already started to shuffle out of the room after hearing this, wanting to start on their pre-designated jobs as soon as possible - so as not to become burdens later, by being the last to finish.

Turning my head, I directed my gaze to the sub-Alpha... The one who ruined my peaceful life, my family.

Clenching my fists, I somehow stopped myself from attacking the walking piece of scum. Instead I did what I knew irked him to no end - I ordered him, as a superior.

"I want everyone to see the face of their true Alpha, so anyone who has been sent out on pack duties have to return in time for the ceremony. Send the message out."

I heard the gritting of his teeth, as well as felt the tension in his fists. I could sense his anger radiating in waves, and only smirked at his clear hate directing right back at me like a sea of daggers.

I don't care what you think of me. All I want is to make your life as worse of a Hell than my own.

I will make your punishment last a lifetime, as you did to me. I believe it's an eye for an eye - and a life for a life. I'll find who and what you hold dear, make no mistake of that... And when I do, it'll be payback time.

"Trystan's here. And he's bought the rest of us."  Jessie relayed the news to me off-handed lay, with a smile on his face.

Jessie knew I'd been waiting for him since we were separated. It's only been 2 days but it feels like so long... He must be starving.

"What's your name, girl?" I already know the answer. I did a background check if every Blood Moon member before arriving, and have took my time memorising every detail of every file.
