Faiths POV
Afterwards, we took our sweet time to make our way back to the Pack House - reminiscing in our colourful past experiences as we did so, as well as briefly conversing on what we'd expect from our relationship in the future.
During all of this, I very soon realised he was tactfully dodging a specific topic ... one that was essential in continuing the lineage of Blood Moon.
Feeling my control of the situation slip away with every new subject, I let my frustration surface - stopping in my tracks before turning to face my now-life partner.
"Trystan," I said his name with as much dominance as Maya would let me use on our Mate - our equal, "I want you to look at me."
I felt him turn my way but could not feel his gaze upon me, which slightly angered me. This defying gesture in itself was enough to make Maya feel as if we had been disrespected.
I am the dominant, Mate. She growled, easing some power into my stance, caressing her alluring control over my very being - wanting to take control so she could voice her opinions on the matter. As the Alpha, commands by me on this land must be obeyed. Whether that be by other wolves, or our Vampire Mate.
"I do not like repeating myself, Trystan," I warned. "Look. At. Me."
It took him a few seconds to yield, but he did as I'd instructed. Maya settled instantly after this, not wanting to prolong the time of being upset at our Mate. It was our first day with our Mate, and we did not want to ruin it for ourselves.
Today is a day of jubilance and celebration, and that is how it shall stay.
"I don't know why you are avoiding the subject of offspring but I shall say this now and only once, so listen very clearly."
His stance became rigid, as his back straightened - as if bracing himself for anything I may say on the subject.
I gave myself a minute to both inhale and exhale before starting. "I know that a mix bred child is uncommon and quite spontaneous in genetic makeup - as it's never certain on who the child will go on more. But as an Alpha it is my duty to produce multiple offspring in hopes that they shall carry the blood of my forefathers into the next generation."
He seemed to be struggling with something mentally, but I kept drilling in the subject at hand so he would clearly understand why I say what I do.
"I want our child to keep the legacy of Moonlight shining, as well as understand the story of how it was forced to evolve into Blood Moon." I had learnt to control my tears long ago, but emotion I thought dead was managing to creep into my words, "I want them to know their grandma Ernest and grandpa Josiah - as I had done, even with their absence."
He didn't seem to have fully made a decision on the subject, and my patience with him was running thin so I did what I had to as a last resort - I told him my wish.
"I want to conceive our child, Trystan. As soon as possible. I want to carry on our blood as well as our legacy."
In a sick and twisted way, I knew no matter what he personally felt on this subject, that he would obey in the end. He has always done what he can to keep me happy. And he knew now that nothing would make me happier that to have his child. And so, that very night, we made our way to my room and did all we had to to make my wish come true.
