"They - they managed to resurrect Jeno and he's getting a surgery now. We're in the hospital, waiting to hear more news. He's still in a critical state because he lost a lot of blood but the doctor said that so far everything has gone better than expected."

Yujin stared at her fingers. She had picked the cuticle of her thumb to the point that it had started bleeding. The phone call Doyoung had received in the middle of the night kept repeating in her mind, making it difficult for her to think about anything else.

"- as you can probably understand by now, this is why - are you listening? Miss Moon?"

"Noona", Jisung whispered and poked Yujin's side.

Yujin shook her head, zoning back in. For a moment, she looked around, confused about their surroundings.

She and Jisung were sitting in a small office with two men dressed in neat suits. One of the men was seated right across them, while the other one was pacing by the grey wall, going through a stack of papers in his hands. Both of them seemed to be under a lot of stress and the atmosphere in the clean office was tense.

The man sitting across the table from Yujin and Jisung had a frustrated look in his eyes as he stared at Yujin, waiting for her answer. Yujin noticed a bunch of papers between them. Was that a copy of her passport?

"I need you to confirm that you understand me, miss Moon so that we can proceed", he said in a neutral voice.

Yujin had no idea what he had been talking about and glanced at Jisung from the corner of her eye. The younger kid answered her confused look and nodded at her. He had multiple tiny gashes on his face and a bruise on his chin.

Yujin turned back to the man. He had probably introduced himself earlier but Yujin had no idea who he was. Or why she and Jisung were here.

She copied Jisung's motion and nodded at the man. "I understand."

The man clearly knew that Yujin had no idea what was going on but sighed and wrote something on his papers.

"Can I go to the hospital now?" Yujin asked quietly. "I need to - "

"They said that they will call us when he's allowed to have visitors or if anything happens", Jisung reminded her.

When Yujin and the others had fled the burning café, Taeil, Yuta, Taeyong and Jaehyun had stayed behind to explain everything to the police. Chenle had asked his father to provide them with a lawyer and Yujin had heard some of the guys talk about Renjun's father as well.

The man in suit cleared his throat. "Can you pay attention? We need to go through this paperwork now to move things along."

Yujin rubbed her eyes. They were itchy and dry. She still had no idea what the man was talking about. "Move what along?"

The man sighed in exasperation.

Yujin followed Doyoung through the hospital hallways. She was wearing someone's baggy hoodie, a bucket hat and a face mask to cover up as much of her as possible. Jungwoo had told her that she should keep her head down in the hallways to hide her face and keep the hood up until she got to Jeno's room. This section of the hospital was heavily guarded but they should be as careful as possible.

Originally, the guys hadn't wanted anyone to even visit Jeno but as soon as his surgery had been finished, dreamies and Yujin had started begging to see him. The dreamies had gone in first, while Yujin had been forced to take care of things that couldn't be left hanging. Now she couldn't even remember what she had been doing.
