Newfound Love [Asta x Noelle]

Chapter 1- New Feelings

5 years had passed since the dark triad situation. Things were going well. Some of the damage the dark triad had caused had been repaired across the different kingdoms. Physically most things were repairable. But one thing that was irreversible was trauma.

Everyone had been through a lot, and luckily an era of peace had overcome the 4 kingdoms. Even the diamond kingdom. They were not in any position to fight other nations. They had a lot that needed to be fixed.

A year after all the dark triad action Asta decided he'd go train with nacht, it was for the best. He was the only devil possessed he knew who wasn't evil and Asta wanted to be stronger. They had trained for 4 years. And through out that Asta hadn't seen Yuno, or any of his friends the whole time. So 5 years had passed in total.

The spade kingdom had no ruler, and the dark triad were put down. The only hier to the throne was Yuno. The only person who was apart of the royal bloodline. They needed guidance, they needed a ruler. He didn't want to leave the clover kingdom, but he knew he couldn't leave this alone. Too many innocent lives were at stake. So he stepped up and took action.

Asta had grown a lot. Both physically, and mentally. He matured, and he also was a bit smarter. Though he was still daft when it came to feelings and romance.

It was warm out. The sun was setting, but it still was pretty warm none the less. Asta sat on a hill as he watched the sun slowly descend into the horizon. He crossed hi legs as he looked at the view before him.

Nacht walked up to him and also sat down.

"Your training is coming to an end, what will you do after?" Nacht said turning his attention to Asta.

Asta thought for a few seconds. "I don't know. I'm glad that we're in an era of peace right now. But that also means all I can do is prepare for anything. I really want to see my friends again! So I'm going to return to the clover kingdom." Asta said.

"I see. I don't sense any immediate threats. Looks like we'll be enjoying peace for a while. I suggest you settle down." Nacht said.

"Settle down?" Asta said. His expression straightened a little. He didn't like the idea of simply doing nothing, at the same time there were no threats. Even if he wanted to help out, there was nothing besides the regular missions he used to take on.

"Well, you should obviously keep training. But you should take it easy until you are needed again. Take my advice, I hate people who don't listen." Nacht said.

"True. Man, I wonder what every one is doing. I wonder what they look like!" Asta said.

Asta has changed a bit himself. For starters he took off the headband. Nacht thought it looked childish, and Asta had matured a bit. He also got taller and changed his usual outfit due to the ex-vice captain's orders. He wore a white shirt with a black Cape like robe with black trousers with buckled straps.

His outfit was almost Identical to Yami's when he was younger as he remembered Yami showing him pictures. In a way it was a tribute to his captain who he admired dearly.

"I wonder how Noelle and the others are doing" Asta said.

"Isn't she the girl your age in your squad? Royalty yes?" Nacht asked.

"Yeah, I kinda miss Noelle" Asta chuckled.

"I thought you were obsessed with that sister Lily? That's pretty foolish considering you know she can't be in a relationship" Nacht said.

Asta cringed. "Well, I realise that now. I was young. I guess, well. She was the only mother figure I had. I've grown up a bit, I know now that it isn't possible. Not to mention she's a lot older than me" He chuckled.
