Newfound Love [Asta x Noelle]

Chapter 3- Time.

"Today's the day huh" He said. "The star festival" Asta started pacing around his room.

He sat down on his chair, and looked into the small mirror on his desk.

"How am I going to tell her?" Asta said to himself.

A couple knocks could be heard on the door.

"Who is it?" Asta said.

"It's Finral"

"Oh, come in." Asta said.

"I thought you might want some last minute advice" Finral said.

"Definitely, I could use a pep talk" Asta chuckled.

Finral laughed nervously. "It's not much of a pep talk but I do have advice. You should make her happy, spend some time with her first. Have a good time together. When you tell her is up to you, but make sure she enjoys herself." He said.

"So like a date? I never really thought of that." Asta said.

"Well technically. Just make sure she has a good time. Compliment her as well, if you don't she will assume you don't think she's pretty. It's a girl thing. And get flowers too!" Finral said.

"Yeah, thanks! I guess I'll have to go ask her if she wants to, but maybe I'll ask her before instead of after. I don't know" Asta said.

"Don't sweat it. I'm sure she'll agree either way." Finral said.

"Right!" Asta replied.

"I'll leave you to it then. See ya downstairs." Finral said.

He left and shut the door.

Asta then searched for the bathroom as he wanted to freshen up. He brushed his teeth and washed his face. Soon after he had a bath and changed into his clothes. He then went downstairs to join his friends.

He saw Charmy eating and quickly asked to join her as he had quite the appetite.

"Charmy! Can I get some breakfast if that's alright." Asta asked as he ran over to the table.

"Yeah! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Eat up!" Charmy said. The table was full of plates of food the sheep cooks had made.

"Thanks!" Asta said. He sat down at the table. The sheep cooks layed down a feast as mentioned, and Asta had no mercy. He started eating like there was no tomorrow, charmy did the same. After a couple minutes Noelle came downstairs.

"Hey! Noelle, come eat with us!" Asta said.

"You can't skip breakfast!" Charmy shouted playfully.

"Well, I guess I am a bit hungry. Sure." Noelle said as she sat down. As always she used her manners around the table. She was the only one using a knife and fork while the other two ate like barbarians.

However the way he ate was just another thing she liked about Asta, she found it cute. She didn't even realise she was staring at him, when he looked at her they locked eyes and they both quickly looked away in embarrassment. Asta scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Noelle, do you wanna hang out after the ceremony?" Asta asked.

Noelle went red. It was practically a date.

"Okay, but only because you asked." She said. She generally was trying not to be rude, but when embarrassed she unconsciously did. Not as rude as she would have been years ago though.

"Great! Reminds me of last time with kiato and kahono" Asta replied.

"Oh right, I haven't spoken to Kahono in ages." Noelle said.
