Newfound Love [Asta x Noelle]

Chapter 2- A Much Needed Talk

It was a new day, quite early in the morning. Asta was sleeping soundly in his bed. That was until he fell out of it.

"AHHHHH!" He yelled as he thud onto the floor. Asta yawned and rubbed his eyes. His luck really wasn't all too great recently. He moved over to his Calendar and checked the date.

"3 Days to go huh" He said to himself yawning. The star awards festival had been on his mind a lot lately.

Asta was never one to give up, or break promises. He also never really thought to hard. He never let being a peasant stop him doing anything. So he asked himself why he was terrified of telling Noelle.

It was effortless for him to ask sister lily to marry him, then again it wasn't genuine. He'd have to figure it out himself as he wasn't about to break a promise.

He didn't know how Noelle felt about him, and even if she would want to be with him. But if she did, she would be the laughing stock of royalty. Royalty dating a mere peasant? A devil possed one at that. Maybe it wasn't that he didn't believe in himself, but he wanted the best for Noelle.

Even so, a promise is a promise. Even if it meant humiliating himself. He left his bedroom after changing into his clothes and looked for the bathroom to brush his teeth. After that he headed downstairs and joined his friends.

It seemed as thought the captain was telling them something.

"You finally decided to get out of bed huh Rasta?" Magna said.

"What? was I supposed to wake up early?" Asta asked.

"Did you forget kid, I've said multiple times we have joint training with the blue rose knights." Yami said as he lightly struck his fist to Asta's head.

"Ow... How come?" Asta asked.

"Prickly princess is stepping down from her position. She can't continue to be captain as of now. So as they have no captain we're gonna run a little training session to help them stay sharp until a new one is put in place." Magna.

"Wait why?? Did she get injured?" Asta asked.

"I wouldn't say injured" Magna laughed.

"Then what's the problem?" Asta asked.

"She's pregnant." Noelle said.

"WAIT WHAT!" Asta shouted. "WHO'S THE FATHER?!"

"Me." Yami said.

"C-captain Y-ami?" Asta said shocked. He never expected his captain to get with Captain Charlotte.

"What did no one tell you?" Vanessa chuckled.

"No!" Asta said.

"Seriously? they've been married for 3 years now" Noelle said.

"3 years?! No one told me anything! Not even a single letter?!" Asta said.

"Why are you so surprised. You think I was gonna stay single forever? " Yami asked.

"NO! Congratulations I'm extremely happy for you! Don't hurt me!" Asta shouted.

Yami chuckled.

"Man, I wasn't even invited to the wedding. That sure stings." Asta said.

"You we're gone training what did you expect" Magna said.

"I would of come back for a couple days for the wedding!" Asta said as he tried to get over it.

"Shut up! Anyways, as you know we have a shortage in Magic knights at the minute so I need atleast 2 of you to patrol the capitol." Yami said.
