Chapter five

LYNETTE'S POV
I freaked out.

And when I say freaked out,I mean REALLY freaked out.
Calm down my wolf said.
At least I now knew I wasn't going crazy and that it had been my wolf talking in my head all this while.

But I never knew I was a werewolf,why didn't mom tell me? Why would she keep something like this from me? I said while pacing about.

I was a pure white wolf. And I looked big when I looked at myself in a small pool.

But this was bad and...I don't know... wrong?
I never knew about this.

Umm,Crystal? I called.
Yes Lynnette she replied
Why did you say mate when you saw Aaron I asked and I would have blushed if I was in my human form.

Every wolf has a soulmate. Someone you are destined to be with forever. You can only truly love that pers   on and have kids with only your mate. She replied.

So you mean Aaron and I are destined to be together forever  I didn't know why but that warmed my heart and pleased me very much.

Umm...so how do I change back to my human form  I questioned.

Just imagine yourself in your human form she said.

I closed my eyes and imagined my human form. Soon enough, my bones rearranged themselves and I was myself again. This time,it didn't hurt at all.

I smiled but frowned at once when I looked down and saw myself completely naked. I quickly raced to my house and entered through the back door.

Then I made sure no one was around and hurried to my room. I threw on a dress and went back downstairs. I had to talk to Mom.

"Mom!!" I called out. "Yes dear" she said as she came out of her room. "Are you ready for your surprise?" She asked excitedly.

I stared at her,I didn't know what to say. There were so many questions in my head. But I didn't want to spoil the surprise

"Surprise!!" She screamed and pulled out a car key.
"O.M.G!!! a carr!!!???"I yelled and hugged her tight.

"It's in the garage"she whispered into my ear.
In my excitement,I almost forgot about all that being a werewolf stuff. I stopped,halting her movements.

"What's wrong Lyn??" She asked using the pet name she had used for me ever since I was little.
"Can we talk for a minute?"I asked her.
She smiled and nodded.

I sat on the couch and turned to face her. She was sitting in a rocking chair right opposite me.
"Okay,sooooo...what am I?" I asked.

"You're my daughter of course"she said.
"No...I mean...am I a supernatural being or I'm a human?"I asked softly.
Her eyes widened.

"You have found out right?" She answered sadly.
"Yes but why didn't you tell me?" I asked looking at her with glistening eyes.

"I was afraid that once you found out, you would leave me"she whispered.
"But you should have told me!!"I screamed, suddenly angry as tears streamed down my cheeks.

"Where are my parents then?"I asked, sobbing.
"They are dead. They died in a war between humans and your kind. I found you wandering about during the fight and the human hunters were chasing you so I had to save you" she answered,sobbing too.

"Why did you save me if you humans killed my parents??!!!" I sobbed some more.
"My father was the leader of the hunters but I was against him killing the werewolves. I even had werewolf friends. During the war,I refused to fight and hid in a tree. That's when I found you"

"So grandpa Carlos killed my parents!!!  I thought he was so kind and sweet" I cried even harder when every word hit me blow after blow.
"I didn't tell him that you were a werewolf. He would have harmed you. I told him that I had you with a certain human boy."she answered.

I was so upset. All my life had been a ruse...a fake. I rushed to my room,got a pair of shorts and a tank top for myself and raced outside.

I shifted into my wolf,held the clothes between my teeth and took off into the woods.

AARON'S POV
I was enjoying the wind in my fur as my paws propelled me along the forest floor.

I raced to my favorite spot in the forest
but I stopped abruptly. I sniffed the air and the sweet smell of my mate hit my nose.

Why was she here and how did she find this place?
I carefully walked up to the spot she was. She was sobbing hard and I could tell she was in so much pain.

Jaden whimpered catching her attention. She backed off a bit,fear evident in her eyes. Well, I didn't blame her, Jaden was huge and she had never seen him before.

Jaden whimpered again, dropping his large head to the ground. She then mustered the courage to come closer. She touched me and the wonderful sparks coursed through our bodies.

"Aaron..."she whispered. Jaden gave her a little lick then we raced to the back of the nearest tree to shift and wear some clothes.

As soon as I came out, Lynnette flew into my arms, sobbing fresh tears.
I held her close, rubbing her back and whispering sweet soothing words to her.

"She lied to me... she's... she's not my real mother..."she sobbed into my chest.
My heart broke at the pain in her voice.
"It's okay. I'm here"I whispered and she clutched me tight.

I hugged her tight too and after sometime her sobs subsided.
"I'm sorry. I'm not usually like this" she whispered as she blushed.
I chuckled, held her chin and she raised her eyes to meet mine.

My lips slowly descended on hers and I kissed her slowly and gently. She responded sweetly to the kiss and her body molded into mine. But she wasn't ready for all this mate thing. I had to take things slow.

I broke the kiss and looked into her eyes. She looked away and said " My wolf says you are our mate."
I smiled" yes I am."

"I don't really know anything about all this mate stuff and werewolf stuff. Can you teach me?" She asked,her eyes shining.

"Of course I will. My sweet mate" I answered and caressed her cheek lovingly.
