Chapter six

LYNETTE'S POV
I was a bit excited today as I walked to school with Leila. It mostly had to do with Aaron offering to teach me about the ways of my kind.

But I was also very shy to meet him because of the kiss we shared. I nervously tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

As romantic as last night had been with Aaron, I went back home that same night to find my 'mom' crying. I felt sad but also felt betrayed by her not telling me anything about my origin.

"Hey,were you listening at all!!" Leila huffed angrily.
"I'm sorry Leila,I was so caught up in my thoughts"I chuckled awkwardly.

Another headache of mine was to break the news to Leila that the best friend she had grown up with was a werewolf.

You still need to tell her,you know...
Crystal said awakening from the back of my head.
Yeah,I know I replied and sighed.
How was she going to take it?

"Hi Lynette" Aaron's scent filled my nostrils before I heard his greeting. He was walking with a blonde guy who had grey eyes. The blonde smelt like coconuts?

"Hi"I said in a small voice and blushed.
"Are you ready for your lessons today?"he asked in a deep seductive but loving voice. Oh! what that voice does to me!!

"Yes"I answered.
"What lessons?" Leila questioned wiggling her eyebrows again with a mischievous smile.
"Is it a smooching lesson? I would love to join then!!" She said eagerly.

The blonde cleared his throat and Leila looked up at him. She gulped a bit and turned away. The blonde was cute and sexy at the same time but Aaron was more than that.

"Hi,my name is Tony" he said to Leila.
"My name is Leila"she answered, smiled and stretched her hand to shake his.
As soon as their hands touched, Leila gasped. Her eyes were wide and shot up to meet Tony's which had darkened with something.

She shivered and pulled her arm away, confused but blushing. "I...umm...I have to go. See you around Lynnette"she rattled and ran away, leaving Tony with a look of longing and pain in his eyes.

So he's a werewolf and Leila is his mate, I figured out at once.
Aaron cleared his throat. We both turned to face him.
"Lynnette,this is Tony,my second in command. Among us will wolves,he's called the beta. And even though I'm not yet the alpha, he's still my beta."

Then turning to Tony he said "Tony, this is Lynnette, your Luna and my mate".
Wait! Alpha? Luna?
Wasn't the alpha the king of a pack?

"Hello Luna" Tony bowed. "No no no no ...I'm no Luna, just call me Lyn" I objected but Crystal puffed her chest out, she obviously enjoyed being called Luna.

"You will still be my Luna soon"Aaron said.
"I don't even know anything about who I am"I said nervously.
"You'll be okay"Aaron said and intertwined his fingers with mine.

I gave him a small smile as sparks shot up through my arm from the tips of my fingers.
It felt so wonderful and so right to be with him.

I began day dreaming about a perfect life with him. Geez,I barely know this guy and I'm already considering having his kids.

"Let's get you to the library"Aaron said and pulled me along with him.
The library was very old. In fact, it was much much older than the school.

All we students knew about this ancient library was that it was creepy. We hardly visited the library except for rare occasions when we needed information for research purposes.

I gulped. The library?
"Ermmm... Aaron?? Why the library?"I asked nervously.
"Because it holds the oldest werewolf history books and prophecies and customs"his husky voice sent delicious shivers down my spine.

And these shivers combined with the sparks erupting from our joined hands made me want to moan in pleasure.
But that would have been too embarrassing.

"Here we are" Aaron announced breaking me from my thoughts. I glanced up at the ancient library,an eerie feeling engulfing me.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to go in there? It looks spookier today."I asked him with fearful eyes.

He rubbed his thumb over my hand and that gesture took away my fear and made me feel calm.
"Don't worry. If anything happens,I will protect you"he answered,love shining in his eyes and I melted.

He kissed my forehead affectionately which took me off guard. I smiled shyly as he led us into the antique building.
I coughed once we entered. Damn,this place needed some dusting. The librarian, Mrs. Shannon had taken a leave to have a little time with her family so the library was practically left unoccupied.

I started wondering why they hadn't gotten a new librarian.
"Come. The werewolf books are in this section"Aaron said.
We walked till we reached a wall.
"But there isn't a section here"I said confused.

Aaron only smirked at me and grabbed an old candle holder that was attached to the wall and pulled. The wall slid to one side, revealing a whole new part of the library I never knew of.

We both walked in and Aaron made the wall slide back into place.
There were drawings of wolves on the walls. Some were howling at the Moon,some depicted wolves going on a run etc.

Aaron grabbed a big brown book from on of the shelves and asked me to sit by him. I did so shyly.

"This book is called ad originem lycanthroporum. It means the origin of werewolves"he explained.
Wow,his Latin was perfect.

He turned the first page and what we saw was a pure white wolf with blue eyes. The wolf looked strong and powerful.
"Hey,my wolf also has white fur"I replied.
"Really?"he asked me with a disbelieving chuckle.

"It's true Aaron". His beautiful eyes darkened at my mention of his name.
He doesn't believe that we are a white wolf.  Crystal suddenly barged in, stirring up from her sleep.
Let's show him then I told Crystal.
She nodded in my head

"Aaron?" I called his name.
"Yes pretty"I blushed at his pet name for me.
"I want to show you that I'm really a white wolf" and without leaving him room to argue,I pictured letting Crystal take over.

My bones snapped and rearranged themselves. And there I stood in my white fur. Aaron's eyes were as wide as saucers.

"But it cannot be!!! It's impossible!!"he screamed.
