And with that after almost seven or so years, I've finally finished the Goblin Trilogy, or at least, I've finished the first drafts, and have closed a chapter of my life. I've spent most of my twenties working on it, which is surreal to me, and it'll be difficult to leave it behind. Sad, but also liberating. It's a bittersweet feeling but I'm looking forward to new adventures.
I wanted to leave a thank you here to everyone who has read all the way to this point. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support and the funny comments and the messages of encouragement. I would never have finished this monstrosity of a series without you.
Many of you have expressed your hopes for a continuation of some sort or a spin off and what I can say is this. Matilda's story has come full circle for me and while I'd love to revisit the goblin world someday it probably won't be for a long time to come. I won't rule out the possibility completely though should the mood strike me. I'd love to write a little something about Hella and her crew dealing with Odd's power hungry offspring, but for now it is on my shelf of ideas as I try to move on to tell new tales, ones I hope that you will love just as much.
As promised, I'll be finishing A Magic of Many Colors first. I'm aiming to keep it between twenty and thirty chapters long. After that, we'll be starting a new series. The Wyvern Series which follows a young girl through her training and service in an order of half-elf knights who's special ability makes her a valuable asset to her country and target for its enemies. Did I mention that there are also dragons...and possibly a few goblins here and there. I have no idea how many books there will actually be yet, but I'm planning for at least three. You can read a few of the short stories I did set in its world here on Wattpad. It's my Wyvern short story collection. The true first book of the series will be titled The Jade Guard.
Also, at some point I'd like to rework the beginning of The Goblin's Crown and change some of its details. Looking back on it, some things just don't work and I think it could be better. I'll let you all known when I decide to do that rewrite. I don't think I'll take it down during that time, so no worries there. I'll probably do the update in one go once it's all done.
Again, thank you so much for reading The Goblin Trilogy and I'll see you in the next project!
