Cait's voice wakes Logan up, who seems to be yelling at his dad. He looks at the spot next to him to see if it woke Scorpia up, but she's not there.
He sits up right away and immediately gets worried until he hears her voice.
"Cait! Behave! Come on, get in the shower. I will make coffee. But don't you dare blame Lachlan for the situation you caused yourself. Now go!"
Logan grins and can perfectly imagine how Scorpia man-handles his mom into the bathroom. He opens a drawer and finds boxers and a T-shirt, puts them on, and opens the bedroom door.
He walks down the hall and finds Scorpia pulling the bedding from his parent's bed, followed by scrubbing the floor.
"Bonnie?"
Her head shoots up and her eyes are sparkling with adrenaline. She continues cleaning the floor until the stain is gone, sitting up and wiping the sweat off her forehead.
Logan picks the dirty bedding up from the floor and carries it to the laundry room. He puts it in the washing machine and turns it on, opening the bedroom window as soon as he makes his way back there.
He grabs the bucket next to Scorpia, "Come Bonnie. Coffee."
She smiles and nods. They make their way downstairs and find Lachlan in the kitchen. He's holding his head in his hands and doesn't move when they enter the room. Logan pours the water out of the bucket and rinses it along with the brush.
Scorpia washes her hands, "Where's the first aid kit?"
Lachlan mumbles an answer and Scorpia pulls it from the cupboard behind her. She walks up to the kitchen table and sits down on top of it, in front of her father-in-law. She drenches a cotton ball in disinfectant and pulls Lachlan's hands from his face.
Logan watches the scene unfold in silence, shocked when he sees the blood on his dad's face. Scorpia cleans the wound above Lachlan's eyebrow and looks at it closely. She puts a few Steri-Strips on it, pulls the cut closed, plants a gentle kiss on it, and jumps off the table to put everything away again.
Scorpia makes coffee and when it's done she pours it into two mugs. She picks them up and whispers, "Talk to your dad. I'm off to see your mom."
Scorpia walks upstairs and finds Cait sitting on the edge of the bed in her bathrobe. She hands her a mug before sitting down next to her, staying quiet as she sips her coffee.
She waits patiently till Cait starts to talk softly. "I can't even imagine what you must think of me now. I must have made a wonderful impression on you."
She sobs and Scorpia rests her hand on her mother-in-law's leg. "Cait. Tell me what the real problem is. Because it can't be Lachlan."
-----
Logan looks at his dad, who is still staring at the kitchen table. He pours coffee into the two remaining mugs and sits down across from his father, putting the coffee on the table. "Dad, what did I miss?"
Lachlan looks up at his son and Logan startles when he sees the look in his eyes. His dad sighs and takes a sip from his coffee. "I wanted to wake her up, help her shower and get dressed because you were both still here. But she got mad."
Lachlan stares out of the window and drinks more coffee.
"I told her you stayed the night... And that we drank whisky and talked. She was adamant that I should've told her. Called Rosie's house even to let her know. That she never would have left if she knew you were staying. And that I always kept her from her children."
