[64] I'll carry you

Dinner is ready and they all take a seat at the table. Lexy and mamma have cooked up a storm, but it doesn't take long before it's all gone. They exchange satisfied looks and clean the kid's faces.

Scorpia is sitting next to Logan and he wraps his arm around her. She rests her head against his shoulder and sighs. Logan asks: "Are you happy Bonnie?

"Yes. This was a great day. I feel recharged again."

"I feel the same. A wonderful family to belong to. Would you like to travel to Scotland with me to meet more members of my family?"

She looks up at him and says: "I'd love to."

He kisses her nose and smiles at her. "Deal. I'll call my mum later."

They hear Lexy scream and look at the other side of the table where Bruno slides a beautiful ring on her finger. The tears stream down Lexy's cheeks and Bruno looks a little shy. Scorpia gets up to look at the ring up close and starts to cry too. The ring has a huge diamond in the middle and around it a small red, black and yellow stone.

Scorpia looks at Bruno and says: "So beautiful Bruno. For the kids!"

Bruno grins at his sister and says: "Yeah, she might be the love of my life but she's a mom first and foremost. A mom I'm very proud of."

Scorpia hugs Lexy and says: "Never let that man go."

Lexy chuckles and says: "I'm not planning on it."

They all admire the ring and Bruno and Lexy go home first because the little ones are getting sleepy. Scorpia and Logan hug the family thoroughly. Scorpia a little longer with Enzo and Logan a bit longer with Pia. They wave at them as they drive away, before sitting down on the couch in the living room with the rest.

Mamma pours wine for everyone and says: "Thank you for a wonderful Sunday. I haven't had a fun day like this in a long time. And I'm so grateful that you all get along. The afternoon nap was the highlight of the day." Mama's laughter bounces off the walls and the rest laugh along slightly uncomfortable.

Mamma makes eye contact with every single one of them and says: "Logan and Scorpia belong together, we all know that. And because we all accept that, it's less stressful when Dino sleeps with his hand on her ass or Ciro buries his nose in Logan's hair. Or when Bruno showers with her."

Dino spits his wine back into his glass and asks: "What?"

Mamma chuckles and simply states: "Mamma knows it all." She makes eye contact with Logan, who is listening to it all in a relaxed manner, resting his hand on Scorpia's thigh.

Mamma says: "You, my sweet boy, have made everything better. And I am really glad you became part of my family. And that you love my daughter most of all. You are exactly what she needs and deserves. Grazie. Ti amo."

Mamma looks at him with her eyes full of tears and Logan stands up to hug her. She hugs him back tightly and Logan bends down to kiss her cheek. She mumbles: "So abnormally tall." Logan chuckles and sits down next to Scorpia again, who pulls him close for a kiss.

Ciro says: "About that showering with Bruno. Does Logan know about it? Or Lexy?"

Scorpia pretends not to hear him and kisses Logan again. Mamma sips her wine and looks at Scorpia with an amused expression on her face.

Scorpia sighs and says: "I even showered with Bruno after boxing in the hotel. It wasn't the first time and I doubt it will be the last. And yes Logan knows and I bet Lexy does too."

Dino softly asks: "Why?"

Scorpia looks at him and answers honestly: "Why not? We don't feel anything sexual for each other and I feel very safe around him. And I'm usually completely in my own world around matches, so I don't know where or with who I am. That's honestly how it started, he wanted to protect me. And it's so normal to us now that we don't even think about it."
