[72] Motherly Love

They arrive at the cafe and walk in through the front door. The team is already seated at the big table and there's a plate of sandwiches in the middle of it. Ricardo sits down with them and Scorpia walks into the kitchen, looking for Logan.

Logan is sending a message to Ricardo, telling him Leo is asleep upstairs. He looks up and studies the woman that stole his heart. She looks good. Tired, but not broken. She walks up to him and wraps her arms around him. He wraps his arms around her too and pulls her closer. "Mmm, hello Bonnie. It looks like it went well."

She takes in his scent and mumbles: "Yes. Better than I expected."

"I have a surprise for you. A reward. But you need to go upstairs for it. Be quiet, okay?" She shoots him a questioning look, but he smiles at her without saying a word. She kisses him quickly before walking towards the stairs.

When she arrives upstairs, she looks around the living room first, but doesn't see a thing, She walks into the bedroom and her eyes land on a crib. She walks up to it slowly and finds Leo lying in it. He is fast asleep but she can't resist touching him. Her heart feels warm as she watches the boy she would love to be a mom to with her hand on her heart. The boy she's been a mom to in her heart, from the very first second she laid eyes on him.

She takes her stiletto boots off and puts a pair of sneakers on. She walks downstairs and rushes over to Logan. He catches her in his arms in the middle of the cafe. "Thank you Logan. For everything. Ciro gave me the file too."

"You're welcome Bonnie. But I didn't do it just for you. I love that little man too. I have a few other surprises, but you'll see them later. Go and eat something. I'll put the baby monitor near you, so you can go to him when he wakes."

She kisses him slowly and looks at him with all the happiness in the world in her eyes.

He smiles at her and says: "Have a good meal Bonnie. Ti amo."

She sits down between Lee and Ricardo and grabs a sandwich from the plate. Ricardo turns her face to him and says: "Yes, that's new. I've never seen you this happy."

She beams and says: "Leo is sleeping upstairs.

"Logan puts a cup of tea and the baby monitor in front of her. He winks at her and says: "I hope you enjoy your meal, if you need anything, call."

Sara bends over to Scorpia and asks: "That's Logan, right?"

Scorpia nods and Lee says: "Yes, that's Scorpia's Logan."

Sara mumbles something and Scorpia asks what she said.

Xander, who is sitting next to Sara says: "Jealous."

Sara blushes and Lee laughs.

Ricardo says: "Yeah, he might not talk much but when he does..."

Scorpia laughs and says: "Yes, he's handsome isn't he? And sweet and a hard worker and everything I could wish for in a man."

Sara softly says: "Stop, I'm even more jealous now."

"Are you all single?"

Sara nods and says: "I'm way too shy, it's never going to happen."

Lee says: "Well, Xander found someone. And without talking."

Xander adds: "You don't have to talk to convince someone that you're worth it."

Scorpia laughs and says: "I suddenly see you in a very different light Xander." Xander blushes and they laugh together. "What about you Lee?"

"I'm still young and my family is Asian. I don't know if you have any idea how strict they are. But I'm making the most of my single life."
