(RECAP)

Hyuga-sempai's face seemed to light up before he said,"It can't be... But...I'm pretty sure there's only one girl who had ever played for the boys team. "
The others face seemed to light up too " Oh! She played for the Teiko boys' basketball team. I remember seeing her play. Although I don't remember much about that but it was my first time seeing a girl so strong!"
" Oh! Oh! Oh! You don't mean her do you? The girl that went missing 1 year ago? I don't really know much about her. What did they call her again? Ummm....... Oh that's it! THE DIAMOND!!! Wasn't she was all over the news! Something about a basketball genius went missing! THE MISSING DIAMOND!!! "
" That's right! Good job, Koganei! It was THE DIAMOND! "

The Diamond...

FLASHBACK

Third POV

"It's Teiko's game next! GO TEIKO! YOU'RE THE BEST! BEAT THEM!"
"Teiko! Teiko! I'm supporting you all the way!"
"The Generation of Miracles are coming out!"
"Oh look! There they are! The Golden Pair of the Generation of Miracles! It's The Ace of Diamond!!!" (A/N: 'The golden pair' now I feel like this's a Prince of Tennis fan-fiction >_< )

Daiki Aomine and Tetsuya Kuroko might have been partners, The Light and The Shadow. But, there was someone who knew Aomine better than his own shadow and understood him like a book.  His play was said to be unpredictable, yet she was perfectly in sync with him. His play was said to be impossible, yet she was never surprised.

Aomine's play was impossible and unpredictable. He makes the impossible happen and he was unpredictable with his formless style. Especially when pushed over the edge, he dominates the court and there is not a single person who can score as shockingly effortlessly as him. Thus, earning him the name, The Ace.

Mizuki's play was her impossible speed and amazing wit. She could run so fast that one moment, she was there. The next, she was gone. And before you knew it, the swishing sound of the ball entering the net could be heard. She speeds off as fast as or faster than lighting. Her speed and and an analytical brain which has saved many a dangerous situation were what made her dazzling. Thus, earning her the name, The Diamond.

His play, which had been described as impossible and unpredictable, didn't faze her. Nor did her play, which speed was so fast it was blinding not to mention her incredible wit, fazed him. In fact, they were the only ones who knew and understood each other like the back of their hands. People said to communicate on court was to talk and shout out to each others. But they had no need to waste energy like that. Their 'communication' was different from others. Throwing the ball back without looking back, knowing she'd be there. Running straight towards the goal without having any thoughts of dodging the opponents in front, knowing he'd screen them out. It was this perfect trust that their partner would read their mind and provide amazing assistance that made this possible. Thus, when their play becomes one, they were impossible to defeat, earning their combined name, The Ace of Diamond.

FLASHBACK ENDED

Third POV

Mizuki blinked back the sudden welling of tears and covered her mouth to stop the choked sound of surprise threatening to escape her as she tried to stop images of people smiling and surrounding her from flowing into her mind. Then, she saw herself and him, high five-ing each other. He was looking too happy, almost like an idiot, grinning as though he didn't have a care in the world.

What was wrong with her?! Memories that should had been locked up were all flowing back. It felts as though her heart was continuously being hit by a hammer . Scattering bits by bits with each image that comes to her mind. It was exactly this feeling that made her leave and escape from reality, the feeling of her heart breaking. But this time, she'll brave through it. She'd change him back, even if it means risking her everything once again.

Breaking though her thoughts, a ball came flying towards her at an incredible speed. Automatically, her right hand reached out. Following the momentum of the ball, she managed to reduce its power, successfully catching a fast and powerful ball, single-handedly. There was silence as everybody stared in wonder, before it was broken by a... a... a something. Well, to put it nicely, one could said that it was a weird laugh. To put it bluntly, one would said that it was the chuckling of a madman.

"So, what sempias are saying is that she's one of the Generation of Miracles and definitely strong, right?" Kagami looked towards Mizuki, that dangerous glint in his eyes with that almost devilish smile, "Let's play."

Before Mizuki could reply, a paper fan came crashing down on Kagami's head. "How could you do that to a girl, baka-gami! What if she hadn't caught it?! Do you really want all your training to be doubled?" That demonic, dark aura started flowing out of Riko. Followed by the death-glare of the senpais.

'If someone were to ask me who the real demon was, I wouldn't have hesitated to say Riko-San.' Tsuchida thought.

The boy, which had been so fired up just a moment ago, with the fire background and all, lost his enthusiasm and bowed down in shame, muttering a 'sorry' immediately. As though the fire he had was mercilessly drenched in a cold bucket of water. He was, after all, a gentleman. He was brought up as a fine gentleman. Just that, he might get a little too excited when it comes to basketball.

'He's really passionate about basketball. It's nice to see. It's been a while since I've been challenged. '
She gave him a little smile and said, "It's okay. I'm fine with it, lets play Tai-chan. "

"What? Tai-chan???? " the flustered Kagami asked.
"Hai. I'll call you that from now on. " Mizuki gave a true smile. In the past, it was how she looked everyday. Now, it was one of her rarer smiles.

Dazzling everyone with her smile, Kuroko felt a bit relieved as he saw that signature twinkle in her eyes. For a second. 'Looks like, it hasn't die out. Her smiles. '

Riko watched carefully as Mizuki and Kagami went on court, "Hmm... Her numbers... It keeps changing, I can't tell at all. This might be a good time to see how Mizuki of the GoM plays. "
