{A normal day}
The tall and handsome male gave a lazy yawn as he opened his locker.
"Going home already? " one of the other men in the room asked with a chuckle.
"Of course, I miss my darling already. " he grinned in reply.
"There he goes again. " another one of them goodheartedly rolled his eyes. "Damn, I miss Yui-chan's cooking already. "
"Hey Haizaki! Stop calling my wife so intimately! " a pissed off sign appeared on Aomine Daiki's head like usual.
"It's my mouth. " Haizaki Shogo stuck out his tongue mockingly. "Hey, can I visit yer house tomorrow? I'm on break. "
"Well, I ain't! "
"That's great! So it's just me and my Yui-chan. "
Aomine slammed his locker shut, gave Haizaki a scowl and exited the room.
"Hahaha he's gonna burst a vein if you continue like this, Haizaki. " one of their colleagues laughed.
"Well, he's lucky enough already. It's boring if I don't bully him a little. " Haizaki chuckled in reply.
He looked at the sleek black police uniform he was wearing and gave an amused little sigh.
'For someone who used to steal, since when did I wish to learn to protect? Instead of stealing your smile... how ironic that I'll end up choosing to protect it.'
"Haizaki, if you keep showing that nostalgic with a hint of sorrow look in those eyes, it won't take any geniuses to realize what you're thinking, you know? "
"Well, then thank god he's an idiot. " Haizaki shook his head as he muttered.
He left the police station and was met with a beaming face.
"Haizaki! You're off tomorrow, aren't you? " the woman who had been waiting outside grinned as she handed her bag over for him to carry ever so smoothly as usual.
Without even realizing it himself, Haizaki has already taken over her handbag with a menace-less scowl. "How did you know? "
"I saw Officer Aomine walking out just now. He told me! " she cheerily answered.
"That damn idiot again. " he muttered under his breath.
"So why don't we go on a date tomorrow? "
"Huh? It's my rare day off! And why should I go on a date with you?! And when did I agree to date you? "
"Alright then! I'll wait for you at my house and you can surprise me with the itinerary. "
